Visited Cafe Rouge on a Friday lunch time in January. On walking in we were shown to our tablet. We ordered off the main menu as we had a 50% voucher. I ordered Chicken and fries. The service was excellent and my order arrived soon. The chicken was moist and melted in my mouth. The meal was superb. The deal excellent. The staff were amazing. The loos were small but clean and fresh smelling. Ill deffo be going again
First visit to this cafe rouge, very nice! I had the duck. Staff very pleasant and welcoming and the food was good. If you are an AA member and have the app you can get a discount, usually 25%. There are often other voucher codes online for cafe rouge so it’s worth looking.
Great place for a quick snack or a nice meal with friends and family. Reasonably priced. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back.
This was my first visit in Cafe Rouge and I was totally thrilled. The whole team I mean the staff is very young so I was a bit worried but you don't need to be. They were excellent, quick and friendly. We ordered a few soups, then burgers, a chicken, plus couple of salads and we all loved it. Every single bite! Unfortunately we were so full so we didn't try any desserts but we'll next time : 5* from me.
We went for an afternoon tea booked apparently they were out of the items needed for our sandwiches, they seemed short staff, and someone who came in later got served their cooked chicken before we got our sandwiches. However.....!!!! The staff are so lovely, really hard working and I will definitely go back! After all... We all have an off day. One of the servers 'Will' was amazing
The place needs a good clean. The dirt on all the doors was disgusting along with the toilet doors. The staff are snappy. We waited 1hour for the only thing we ordered 2 main meals.... Waitress tried to blame it on the way the stake was cooked...well done. The girl on the next table was crying her eyes out as she was a vegan and discovered they had given her and her husband cow's milk. Avoid this place its awful
Went today for lunch. Such a pleasure. Agree strongly with a previous customer review saying that Janus is so great! He makes the place such a happy venue to visit. Wouldn't be quite the same without him. Meal was lovely with steak cooked to perfection. Thank you.
After fifteen minutes, they hadn't taken order or even even offered menu. The place wasn't particularly busy. The waiter's reaction was a shrug. It wasn't a one-off: on last visit, the ordering and courses were all extremely slow - and the supposedly rare steak was grey and cool. Gone downhill.
I went here this evening circa 6pm. We ordered our sons dinner no fish fingers, so ordered pizza and said we needed a few more minutes as they didn't have any mussels. The manager told us that they often don't have them on a Monday as they run out over the weekend and that we should go on a Tuesday if we like mussels as they get a fresh batch in on a Tuesday morning. I replied that today was my birthday and I'd been looking forward to their mussels all afternoon so not a huge help but thanks all the same. He seemed to find it all very amusing. Anyway.... Our sons starter arrived, I asked for the cod. No cod. Okay.... In that case can you do a ceasar with prawns? In fairness, the waitress went off to the kitchen to check for me Yes, great! We'll have that and the beef please. No beef. At this point we advised we wouldn't continue with our order, just our sons meal as he was already half way through it. What really got me, having been told it was my birthday, knowing they had none of the dishes we wanted and that we were going to still be there for our sons meal, they didn't so much as send over a basket of bread or complimentary lemonade, nothing. The whole thing was a shambles, had they told us what was unavailable on arriving, before ordering anything, instead of as and when we asked for it, we never would have sat down. Happy Birthday me, and thank you so much Cafe Rouge!
Took my mother for dinner for a special occasion. The food was very good and the Hungarian waitress, with her quirky sense of humour really helped make the experience. We enjoyed our evening and would like to say thank you!
