Good basic French style food. Tuna was excellently cooked. Salad fresh. Staff friendly. Highly recommended the legume croquettes.
Friendly and prompt, very child friendly, just the right size for our little one. Pretty affordable too. Mains were tasty as we're the desserts.
Really great service, food and awesome ambiance here. Prices quite reasonable too.
Starters were lovely, mains not so much, dessert half great, other one horrid!
Very disappointing, not worth another visit. Slow service and not the best food. France would be ashamed. Had to ask twice for the dessert we ordered before somehow it was served. Plates put on center of the table, instead of asking who ordered it. Staff came to clear one plate of the table but left 3 empty coffee cups till we left the location. A bigger group was rejected because they had not big table. But half the location was empty. Could have joined 2 tables to one. Other customers had to get the menu card on their own because nobody recognized them. Really no need to come back here.
I very much enjoyed my meal there. It was a working repast and we talked and ate at the same time. The staff were very generous with their time and my minute steak and salad was just what i ordered. The dinning room is long and kinda moody a really good space. We also used the meeting room for a group of about 12 people in the evening. It was perfect. Very good easy going venue. Recommended.
Great place to go for a beautiful meal, this essence of it is French so it specializes in French food. They do; great lunches, great dinners, and great drinks. So if you are after a great Friday night drink with friends or a romantic meal then this is the place for you. Although they have that greatness about them there aren't many members of staff so if it's a bit busy you will be waiting about 40 minutes for your meal or less of you are having something small. But it's great place so I highly recommend it to all kinds if people.
I would like to say restaurant is situated in the heart of beautiful and quiet Highgate. As you enter the place you are welcomed by a magnificent setting. Restaurant is big and with atmosphere friendly for business meeting or romantic date. The menu offers a wide variety of french cuisine/beef steaks/fish and sea food/duck or chicken. In offer there is a tasty lunch and evening menu which is worth to try includes 3 courses so no disappointment. The chefs takes great care in selecting the best quality of food. Me and my friend had a 8oz steaks with no fat and delicious taste. I am quite fussy so my thanks is going to the kitchen for MsAgata. The restaurant also caters for all tastes by providing a selection of the best wines, which are worth sampling. Service was very good and fast. Mr Martin was smiley and kind, able to explain nearly all menu to my friend and give perfect advice. I highly recommend to give this place a try and enjoy this wonderful experience. Thank You
We arrived as a party of five and were told that there were no tables for five people available which was weird considering that the place was maybe 20% full. In the end we were offered a table for 4 with an extra chair on a side. The service was slow and the food disappointing. My dauphinoise potatoes were cold in the middle and chips were greasy and slightly burnt. With 2 identical dishes of mussels, one arrived with lots of sauce and the other with hardly any. Peas and orange sauce were also cold. Waited far too long for plates to be cleared after we’d finished. We came here for breakfast once and it was a very pleasant experience. This, however, was below average.
Went there for dinner with my dad. Been there a number of times & it's a nice place. Not long to wait for your food, has a nice atmosphere and isn't crowded. The staff are nice and friendly and the food having grown up with a French mother who was a great cook & ate french 'cuisine' every night! is nice & I recommend it to people
