Absolutely beautiful meal today. Chicken club croque was exceptionally good, it’s my favourite thing on the menu. My chocolate fondant was delicious! Service was also brilliant. Thank you.
Very relaxed... pleasant staff... nice atmosphere... Had the smoked salmon croque sandwich... probably a poor choice... found the béchamel sauce overpowered the smoked salmon... nevertheless I enjoyed it
The tables are well spaced, the air con was on, unlike two other restaurants we walked into on this hot night, the staff were quite pleasant and the food is good. The price is fair and to be honest I can't really find fault. However, having said that, you don't leave this place thinking 'that was outstanding, we will be back next week' but to be very honest I'm not sure why? The cost was £60 for a couple, that includes 2 gin and tonics and two soft drinks, two starters and two mains, so a good and fair price. All in all a very nice place that we will revisit at some point.
Good breakfast food, lovely setting and froenly service!
Very nice waitress, pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was average, not awful, ok. Scrambled eggs slightly undercooked. Bacon good. Not being familiar with this area, maybe £6 is a bargain for bacon, eggs, toast? Nice room, clean and bright. Regular coffee, £2.40? Coffee should be included in breakfast. Must learn to read menus. Buyer beware.
Friendly place wonderful food
Food is amazing staff is polite manager gives good customer service. But there is only one lady thats is a waitress who where's glasses she always expects tips example if your meal comes up to 26.00 and you give them £30.00 i do not receive my change I get my change from everyone else but that one waitress doesn't give back my change which I don't like as it's my choice.
This is a lovely little cafe/restaurant situated in the town of Dorking in Surrey, and located at the quieter end of the town. It's very cosy inside and an intimate setting for a romantic meal, or just coffee with a friend. Service is excellent and a good selection of foods is offered by the menu; I had their standard English breakfast with coffee and enjoyed it, though the bacon was a little tough. Would I recommend Cafe Rouge? Yes - definitely; if you want somewhere to go that's quiet, romantic and friendly, then this would be just perfect.
There on the royal wedding day. Lovely peace and quiet for my boyfriend's pre birthday lunch. We had the set menu. We both had the salmon with horseradish creme fraiche. Wasn't sure it would work but it was delicious. Excellent service with a very patient waitress
Such a lovely meal. Didnt recognise any of the staff but they were all polite, helpful and efficient. Was using a voucher so left feeling extremely satistfied after a delicious meal that didnt break the bank in the slightest! Only thing i would day was that we asked for steaks to be done at different rarities, medium to well done and extremely well done and they all came out the same however they were very tasty regardless along with the starters and sides. Of course will happily go back for more.
