A lovely spot, just off the beach with a great view of the Mourne mountains. The staff was friendly and the food nice. It gets a bit crowded because of the great location with queues to pay and order, however they still are very efficient and friendly.
The staff were pleasant and friendly even though they seemed busy/stressed.nIce cream was greatnFood-lasagne microwaved to point of being hard and rubbery and made be feel a bit funny so didn't really eat itnAtmosphere-bit absent, lots of tables left uncleared which looks messy, cold canteen feelnTakes a long time to ordernSays wait to be seated but then server says just sit wherever so we were stood there for a while needlesslynnI would however return for takeout ice cream or takeout dessert only and keen to stress all staff very helpful/very nice i also noticed they had a recruitment sign so perhaps they just need more staff but with plenty of other options in Newcastle I wouldn't risk my money again
Hard to beat this place if you are looking for a freshly cooked breakfast. The sourdough bap is awesome. The kids loved the pancakes.
The first warm sunny Saturday of the year and just after lunch, so still busy, but just seemed chaotic on getting shown on table. Had to work out for ourselves that then had to go to counter to order, where found no one seemed to want to take the order. The old lady in front of me was going bonkers.nOnce ordered, a lovely cheesecake arrived, along with kids drinks. After 10 minutes had to go looking for our waters, and probably another 5 minutes before crepes arrived.nA great spot with great views, but plenty of other cafes to go to before coming back.
So nice for a hot choc! Loved it and presentation was unreal! Staff are so friendly and welcoming too! :
