A cafeteria, a very small but well-kept place both inside and outside near the castle. I just took a croissant with blackberry jam inside and a cappuccino that didn't taste like cappuccino, as the Irish would say "not bad" but it gets better. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff for every request. The croissant was not like the Italian one but more French in which I was brought the butter and a knife to insert it inside. It was soft and wasn't very crispy. The prices are high and some Italians might be bothered but they are handcrafted and are very good.
I had brunch here on a weekend and was seated outdoors, because they were fully booked indoors. As it was a little cold, they kindly offered me a blanket. I had the blueberry and banana pancakes, which were AMAZING. Definitely a must try. Service is also very friendly.
One of the best places to have brunch/lunch in Kilkenny - friendly staff, enough place to come with a buggy, great coffee and food. Halloumi salad is the best of all times. Supreme sandwich is also good for a lunch will definitely return!Recommended dishes

We really liked the Chicken Supreme sandwich and had a cappuccino and a apple & lavender chai latte on the side. Good friendly service. Only downside: The air condition was a little too cold and blowing directly on us and the table was a bit sticky.
Food I had was banging! Really really tasty with great presentation. They also serve edible coffee cups lol. They cost an extra €1 but do the trick if you’re extra hungry lol. Staff were grand, could have been a bit more welcoming!
This cafe is a hidden gem in Kilkenny! We were up early, ready to head to our next stop on our drive around Ireland, and there were not many places open for breakfast. We took a look at Cafe La Coco’s menu and decided to give it a shot and we are SO glad we did. Easily one of the best meals we’ve had in Ireland. Absolutely incredible!
Amazing little brunch spot in Kilkenny. Decent prices, good portions, and great flavours. We ordered the smashed avo on toast, and the chicken avo sandwich, both great choices!
My favourite coffee restaurant in Kilkenny by far. The atmosphere invites you to spend hours and hours inside and the food is excellent!!!! They have the perfect menu for brunch with sandwiches, pancakes, superfood salad and avocado toast my favourite one. There are also plenty coffee options from regular coffees such as cappuccino, lates, americanos to Turmeric or Matcha, and lovely smoothies. Coffee offer includes soya and other alternative milks. The service is very good as staff is nice and sound. Right in the heart of the city centre, it is the perfect place to stop while enjoying this beautiful town and its historical sightseeing. Lastly, the homemade sweet treats are from another world: cheesecake, chocolate cake, scones, muffins, brownies etc. Trust me on this one, when you come to Kilkenny pop in and let the smells and flavours of Cafe la Coco to win you over. They have the best Blueberry & Banana Pancakes I have eaten in years! I also got a Latte like never before eere the coffee and the foamed milk come seperate where you can watch the coffee drizzle through the milk Well be back to try more !!Recommended dishes
