Spacious, bright and airy. Dont need to be a student to use cafe or toilets. Reasonable coffee. Let me bring my bike inside. Prices have gone since I was a student though
Good food for the price you're paying! Try out the breakfast if you are a breakfast person, they have a range of breakfast stuff you can choose from and it's very affordable. Portion is always huge for lunch too :
Bought espresso and asked for a lid for the cup since it’s raining outside. Been told no lid with her eyes rolling. Not the the first time being humiliated here.
Usually very busy. They have nice coffee, muffins triple chocolate ones are my favourite and fast hot food in general is ok jacked potatoes, curly fries, sometimes fish & chips. The few times I was sitting around when the place was quiet, I saw quite a few mice, so if you care about that, it's probably not the place to eat.
I came here to get some work done in a quiet calm environment. This cafe is great for that. You can meet up with your friends to have a chat or spread out and knock out some major assignments. The area is also really peaceful as well so you can get in the zone. There are plenty of outlets too to charge your devices.
Cheap eats is how I would describe the Café. Proper meals can be cooked but a little more expensive rarely over £5 Small selection of food, but to be expected as is run for the students. Student cards will enable reductions.
Needlessly slow if you want coffee. For everything else it is fine, hence not 1 star. Please just write peoples names or a reference on the cups. Unclaimed coffee on counter whilst your own coffee has gone missing causing a 20+ minute wait after paying. This isn't the Library Cafes direct fault, but it has been going on for years without implementing a simple fix.
The food quality is somewhere between Asda and Tescos
One of the finest establishments i have ever had the pleasure of dining in. I struggle to name a restaurant in London thats anywhere near the level found at the Imperial college cafe at this current time, they deserve all the hype. Table service is impeccable and their jacket potatoes are to die for. Just give them their michalin star already, its about time.
Constant weird smell near the entrance it's kinda like sulphur but they need to get rid of it asap also i asked for almond milk with my coffee because i am naturally lactose intolerance and then they don't give me almond milk but instead 100% whole milk and then I have to leave my lecture halfway through to take a massive dump in the subpar toilets and because my body cannot create lactase naturally and then i cannot even clean my hands properly because imperial cannot even have soap in their toilets : also why would u serve something called the electrical engineering sandwich
