Really welcome & v friendly cafe. What a relief to arrive here, when most cafes locally shut early and have run out of food, this lovely little gem is open till 5pm and with a fab delicious selection of homemade food. Very nice ambience, serving area - inspiring, notices, cards, leaflets, and an exhibition of landscape photographs, v walker / cyclist / community orientated and just downright friendly. Such a pleasant place to be, nice seating indoors and outside too, cycle racks and locks to loan, water for dogs, proper crockery - thank goodness!, -so many use single use plastic lined cups / and plastic lids out there not here! Plus, delicious cake and iceceam - what's not to love! Thank you for being there!
Staff were somewhat pleasant. Food was underwhelmingly disappointing, lacking flavour, simply bland and unfortunately fruitless. A worthy mention, one much to my dismay is the lack of vegan friendly options on offer, an enticing reason that drew me to cafe adventure.
Just off the main Hope road, cafe Adventure is a gem to find whether, you a biker a walker or otherwise. A quiet retreat for a rest and a nibble. I have been here several times and always been welcomed. The Cafe offers a variety of eats and drinks for your enjoyment at reasonable prices. Enjoy. Thank you
Finally found a decent cafe in the Peak District! So many close early, only open a few days a week and serve weak coffee! I had the croque monsieur, which was fabulous, and a latte which was so good, I had another! The cakes looked great but I'll have to go back for one another time. One look around the walls tells you this cafe is aimed at cyclists, with notices of upcoming cycling events and groups you can join. I'm not a cyclist but I still felt welcome! The staff were friendly. The place was clean. You can eat inside or on the one table outside.
Sad to say that I had one of worst bacon and sausage baps ever here. Poor quality bacon and sausage, cooked to death and dry, in a dry unbuttered superstore bap. With such lovely local ingredients to be had in Derbyshire, and a bit of tlc, it's not that difficult to make a simple dish, as I had, tasty. A degree of cheery/friendly service would have been nice too. Sorry, but this cafe is not one for me.
Group of 3, came in just before 3:30pm when they were closing at 4pm. Asked if able to still order hot food and was told no -which was understandable. Ordered 3 coffees and cakes knowing the shop would be closing at 4pm but made to feel very unwelcome for the twenty minutes we were there. Generally passive aggressive -had tables needlessly clattered around us and excessive noise of “cleaning up” in what was a very empty cafe. Would’ve preferred it they had been up front about not accepting any more orders unless for takeaway or closed shop earlier.
Absolutely fantastic. Had a superb breakfast. Genuinely one of the best I've ever had. Will definitely be back!
Great food and nice friendly atmosphere. It's a firm favourite of ours
Great little find while out on a walk. Good selection on the menu and fabulous cakes. Very reasonably priced too. We will definitely be backFood: 5/5
Great little place good service but the food is extremely underwhelming. I had a toasted sandwich which tasted burned and had a chemical taste to it. I’d perhaps stop for a tea or a cake but nothing else.
