Story

Born from Alexandra's passion for food, the concept for Café YOLK was developed in 2012. Alex and husband Sunny decided the people of east Reading deserved more choice and a good value eatery to enjoy when venturing out for food.

The Erleigh Road location was chosen for it's great position and Sunny’s local community ties and the journey began – now Café YOLK offers a stylish and affordable alternative to the usual fare on offer in the area, from breakfasts to burgers, waffles to pancakes, coffees and smoothies Café YOLK provides a cut above when it comes to taste in a chilled out atmosphere with service to make you smile.

I love eating at this lovely brunch restaurant! The portions are of good size and the price is right. I had so much to eat and even take home! I ordered the Canadian breakfast my go to …. You can never go wrong with Cafe Yolk ! Ambience is okay .. food comes with no delays and the portions are good !
Very friendly staff and airy covered & heated outside dining area. Fantastic mixed berry smoothie and Turkish Egg dish of garlicky yoghurt over poached eggs and naan, topped with optional chorizo. Very tasty! Crispy fried Potatoes are not Gluten Free and the GF bread is white. Clean and cheerfully bright. Would deffo go again.
Amazing atmosphere and great food. Oreo milkshake was incredible and the herby potatoes were fantastic.
I've wanted to go to Cafe Yolk for a bit now, but it always had long queues, which put me off. Decided to try today late morning on a Wednesday, and there was no waiting at all. The food was divine. We had the Canadian and Traditional Full English breakfast. Came out fairly quickly, and it was quite tasty! My only teeny gripe was that my bacon was a little too dry. Other than that, we enjoyed our breakfast, and it was delish! The staff was very helpful & smiley. I would definitely recommend it, and I'm already looking forward to coming back
Went to this place recommended by a friend that lives around the area, and spot on! One of the best brunches I’ve ever had. The ham&cheese toast, as you can see on the images was absolutely amazing, strongly recommend!!nnReally good price and quality. Smoothies were also amazing, and if you don’t fancy a smoothie their fruit juices were amazing as well.
