I had a one hour colour analysis session voucher given to me as a Christmas present by my fiance, which I redeemed easily via the Caboodle Style website. Before the appointment, I had a short email exchange with Laura who asked me to complete a questionnaire in preparation and send her a recent photo of myself. On the day, we started promptly and got stuck straight into the analysis which was really interesting and opened up a whole new range of colours that I didn't think I could wear. Laura was warm and engaging throughout, putting me totally at ease. Would 100% recommend.

I'm so glad I decided to get a stylist consultation with you, it's amazing what a difference it has made in such a short time already. You understood what would work best for me and have given me confidence to be more adventurous with my style without having to change my entire look. You also have lovely style. I am extremely disappointed with the outcome of what I imagined would be a pleasant and confidence-boosting experience for my partner, Murray. As the gift-giver of a Caboodle Style “Experience Package” I spent a good deal of time choosing what I felt would be the right service. My telephone call to Laura was central to my decision to purchase her services in preference to the services of other personal shoppers that I also spoke to at that time. I felt that Laura and I had a wide ranging conversation that left me confident that I had a good understanding of how the voucher worked and what the day would involve. More importantly, I wanted to ensure, as far as possible, that I could trust Laura’s ability to build a good working relationship with Murray and that they would “get on”. Having spoken to Laura at length I felt her demeanour was perfect and I had every confidence of positive feedback from the experience. I have no recollection of a weekend premium being mentioned at all. Nine months after I purchased the experience, Murray followed the instructions on the voucher (which makes no mention of any booking restrictions) and reserved dates for his experience on-line. Some correspondence then arose because Laura is currently on maternity leave and unavailable. Murray happily accepted the proposed alternative, a personal shopper called Nicola. It was only then that Murray was asked to pay £30 as a “premium” for redeeming his voucher at the weekend. This was a business decision on the part of Caboodle Style that appears to take no account of the relationship between me, as a gift-giver and my partner, as a gift-receiver. It also takes no account of the trust I placed in Caboodle Style to ensure a pleasant experience for someone I care about. By the time I found out about the correspondence between Murray and Caboodle Style the damage had been done: 1) Caboodle Style asked Murray to pay to make use of his “gift” which I think is wholly inappropriate. 2) Caboodle Style also “offered” to deduct 30 minutes of voucher time in exchange for the £30 premium, effectively telling Murray how much I had spent on the voucher, which is both inappropriate and embarrassing for me. 3) Caboodle Style has damaged their relationship with Murray ensuring that he no longer has any desire to participate in this “experience”. I find it deeply depressing that Caboodle Style would choose to defend what has happened by referring to the “terms & conditions”. I spent £280 on a Caboodle Style voucher in good faith. I would have been happy to pay an additional weekend premium at the time. However, this was not promoted when I spoke to Laura, despite our conversation covering where Murray lives (outside London) and that Murray works, making a weekend booking, at least, a possibility. One would think that Laura would have actively marketed the weekend premium to me but clearly this was not happening at the time I bought the voucher. As I have said already, my primary concern was to choose a personal shopping service that would be right for Murray. It seems to me that the process of choosing a personal shopping service is primarily about feelings, working-relationships and trust. No amount of wading through “terms & conditions” would have provided me with the insight I was looking for when I chose Caboodle Style. This is why I say that my conversation with Laura was central to my decision to purchase a voucher. I would caution any potential new customer against choosing Caboodle Style to deliver a positive experience to someone they care about.

We had a color analysis with Laura and latter we had personal session followed by shopping with Laura. It was by far the best thing and well invested money we had done in a long time. Laura is warm, friendly and makes you feel comfortable and at ease. We are identical twins and she immediately pick up our different personalities. All these sessions were so well explained that we are no longer stressed and frustrated about going shopping for clothes. And we safe money and time.

I took my sister to have her colours done with Laura at Caboodle Style for her birthday and we had such a brilliant experience! Not only did we learn the season our colours fell into but we gained a comprehensive analysis to incorporate aspects of our palette, hair colour, jewellery and accessorising, and also how to wear accent and base colours together. The session was relaxed and enjoyable with a real attention to detail, and to the individual. I can highly recommend Caboodle Style to anyone wanting a detailed and thorough colour analysis.
