Hi I would like to say a big thank you to cable garage who helped me out yesterday so promptly. I parked in the middle of Whitehead yesterday but when I tried to start my car it wouldn't work. I asked them to take a look and they were able to diagnose, get parts and have me up and running in a couple of hours. Many thanks Elizabeth
staff service is very poor I'm afraid...definitely not friendly and even come across as abrupt when being served.. on the rare occasion when I have no option but to use this service it will be a case of get in and out as soon as possible. Disappointing to be honest.
A real shame it's not what it was. The Cable Service Station used to be an excellent, stop for breakfast, with a super value breakfast, tasty and well cooked. Unfortunately, they have got rid of the hot food counter and replaced it with a warm food counter; no longer serving the best 5-piece fry in Co. Antrim, the counter is a cabinet that offers limp jambons, and dried out sausage rolls. This Service Station was never any good as a petrol station as it is in a very windy place. It was rare that I would fill with petrol as it is in a wind tunnel, but I would stop most mornings to get coffee and breakfast. Now the benefits of stopping are no longer there and one might as well travel on to Carrickfergus, or if going the other way, carry on to Larne. As a local shop it's still quite good, with some interesting locally produced ready meals, but there are more convenient places to stop and so even these don't encourage my custom.
Supposed to open at 6am every morning. Most mornings you wait till 06.05 until the staff decide to turn up,then another 5-10 minutes before they open the doors. Not good if your going to work and don't have time to wait for these lazy people. Also don't be expecting it to be open at 6am on a Sunday, as it doesn't open until 9 or 10am regardless of what Google says.
Petrol chocolate,ready meal. Groovy .coffee machine on left in door. ATM outside.
Does what it says on the tin. Good shop and friendly staff. Use to have a car wash but no longer there. Friendly staff.
Lovely staff in here. I always call in between work breaks. Lovely hot food too.
Great choice of food etc buy not always best prices.
