Russell Square is a fairly small park in the middle of central London that provides a little bit of greenery. It has a little cafe that looks very nice and lots of benches to sit down at. It's a lovely place to catch up with friends.
These places are London's best kept secrets. Originally just for cabbies some now serve the public as well. You can't go inside but step up to the hatch and get decent food friendly service and extremely reasonable prices. Then find a bench sit down and enjoy. You will not be disappointed.
We go here frequently when we visit SOAS just over the road, or the British Museum. The service is lovely, the prices very reasonable and they do a mean liver sausage roll!
Love this little gem. I often stop to have a takeaway coffee on my way to work. Very friendly service very clean and very tasty options on the menu.
Decent cheap food served quickly, what more could you want. Considering the location the price is better than nearly anywhere else nearby, only downside is that it is cash only.
Only 12 or 13 of these left in London now. This one is always well kept due to frequent films using the area. The huts can be used by the public but only for takeaways. Good honest food teas and coffee at a good price. Friendly knowledgeable staff.
The perfect place to pick up a cup of coffee, tea or some good, hearty food. This shelter always looks clean and well maintained, with friendly service, regardless of how busy they are.
Awesome bacon sandwich and super cheap. Great park to eat it in too.
It's usual wonderfull high standard. Big mug of tea, delicious sausage in a bun, table outside in the sun...all for under a fiver!
