I went to the store to look at different floor materials on recommendation from another store and after a chat with Grant decided to have my new floors installed by CS flooring. My overall experience is a mixed bag, would have been a 5 star review if it had not been for the issues around the wonky area at the door (see below). Negatives: 1. The quote increased by 25% after viewing the flat which I thought was a bit steep, having described the layout of the flat before. 2. The area around the entrance door had to be fitted with a sunk in floormatt as the door itself is a fire door and could not be cut (I had the floor put on top of the old one). This decision was made on the day the work was done and not mentioned at all on the initial inspection of the site which, I felt was a bit disappointing (I would have thought this should be obvious to an expert and could have been discussed before). 3. The area for the floormatt has been cut out very obviously wonky. When I highlighted this the response was very apologetic and I was promised this would be fixed ASAP. The work was carried out late November so I suggested it could be done after xmas, however, I was told it would be done 'as soon as we can, we aim to provide the best service possible and feel you should't have to wait any longer than is absolutely necessary'. Unfortunately, despite three emails we are now three months down the line and it has not been done. In fact, my last email has been ignored. I have given up on this now and will look for another company to do this. 4. I had skirting boards installed and was told that I only had to seal them. I was very confused to find some parts of the skirting boards sealed already when others were not. Overall it felt like that part of the job was done a bit half hearted. Positives: 1. The team lead by Grant are very nice and pleasant. 2. The remainder of the work is to my satisfaction, the floor looks great. 3. There was a problem with my concierge allowing the company access to the flat on the first appointment to install the floors and unfortunately, the team had to leave without being able to access the flat. Grant responded very professional to this situation, which I much appreciate.

Really poor experience, I am not one to review badly but I was so unhappy with the work done. If anything CS just need to take this on board to improve, I wont go into all the details but I am having half the work replaced next week as its so poor. Complete waste of my money which I saved hard for.

Worst possible experience. Fitted a laminate flooring and carpet over a year ago. Several issues, i.e. line on carpet, nails sticking through side trims and more. Then large bubbles appeared under flooring, Took over 4 months to sort out the minor issues with many phone calls often not replied to. At the same time they informed me that the bubbles were due to heavy furniture and said that if I moved it then the problem should be resolved. After moving the furniture around nothing changed so I contacted them again. 5 months later, that is over 9 months after originally fitting the floor, they came back and fixed it. Essentially they had failed to under-board it so it didn't lay flat but I had trusted them since they advertised themselves as master fitters. No compensation was offered for my experience. Then 3 months ago, that is 4 months after refitting, one of the door plates came unstuck and I reported it. They said they would come round and fix it. After two weeks nothing happened so I phoned again and was told someone would get back to me but no one replied. Phoned again and was told the same but again no one replied. Just phoned again and was told that it was difficult to get there because I was not in the area and they needed to fit it in with their jobs. i was also informed that they were not allowed to work after 6.00pm because it was classified as construction work and they were not legally permitted to do that. After trying to point out that this was not my problem and if you ran a business then it was your responsibility to make repairs to any faults I was then threatened by the person at the other end of the phone saying that he was going to come around to my place and sort me out. He calmed down a little, although he was still aggressive in his manner, and said that he would get the fitter to ring me back within 10 minutes. Needless to say nobody has phoned. This is the first time I have been physically threatened by someone from a company. You can make up your own mind about what I would recommend. To update this review the lads came round and fixed the doorplate. I feel I had a particularly bad experience reading some of the other reviews, and to be fair the fitters were always polite to me.

Great service throughout. They did a lovely job fitting our laminate flooring, it looks wonderful. Thanks guys.

Grant and his team jumped in on our job last minute after we we're let down by the person supposed to be putting down our laminate. And what a blessing in disguise!!! CS Flooring did an absolute outstanding job and they arrived promptly and finished the laminate in living room and diner in only 4 hours. They have put down the laminate to an immaculate standard and I am extremely chuffed with the result. Also communicating with them beforehand was brilliant and calls were always answered or in case it wasn't possible straight away, Grant rang us back to arrange time and date for the flooring to be put down. Just an excellent company to deal with
