We don’t normally post reviews but felt it was importantly to post as we don’t recognise the precious review as accurate at all! My uncle has been in the home since earlier this year after being in hospital and then in another care home. In both he was written off as an old person, difficult man with no quality of life.nSince arriving at Byron Lodge his health and general well being have improved, he walks unaided and is cared for by some genuinely lovely staff. He’s made friends with other residents and engages in all the activities they provide and we never thought that would happen! his room is lovely and clean and the other areas of the home are nice and also clean and clear of rubbish . Security is good and all the staff we’ve spoken to enjoy working there and you can feel the warmth of the environment from the minute you go through the front door. I would highly recommend taking a look round if you are in need to a care home, Byron Lodge cares about the welfare and care of its residents and provides a safe and secure environment for people to be the best they can.nnThe only negative from him is he’d like ice cream every day, and they are happy to accommodate that letting us put some in the freezer!!
Lovely staff and managers,clean ,food not too good, but overall a lovely place
My husband David stays for almost a month, and he love it and told me everybody was so brilliantly nice to hem. He said he was well looked after, and wants me to put hem there again, when I need to have a break for looking after hem.nThank you so much everybody in Byron Lodge for looking after my husband so well.
Always late to notify family of incidents an unable to explain how or when cuts/scrape happened.nMissed appointments at hospital due to staffing issues twice. Would not recommend.
