Excellent wine as usual. Why the extraordinary amount of packaging. Enormous cardboard box, plastic bottle covers plus extra packaging. I expected a simple cardboard box with dividers, that could have been used to gift some wine. This lot was distressing and enough to finish off he planet.
Great fishing ! PB smashed. Specimen lake is quality, some really good fish in there. Had some good fun on day tickets also. Owner is sound. Mrs always comes along as a none fishing guest for company. nice toilets on site aswell ! Mc Donald’s just round the corner. Perfect fishing location. We Can’t wait to go back soon !
Great local fishery. 6 different pools to fish with different species and challenges. Also a very nice specimen carp pool with 5 pegs. The owners are friendly and welcoming and the fishery is dog friendly. Good day ticket prices for one rod or 2 and they also offer an annual season ticket which is good value if you intend to visit alot. Can't recommend enough as its suits me perfectly for location, fishing & bringing my dog.
Lovely selection of gifts and tasty ice cream. The monthly Artisan Market is great with a variety of stalls selling local and homemade products, and the Tamworth Donut Man providing coffee and amazing ‘Extra Special’ donuts - the kinder bueno is our favourite!
Went to the artisan Market. Loved it. Well worth a visit. Bit disappointed that the wine at the place it's made is more expensive than in a shop! Happy to donate £1 parking to charity but noticed a lot didn't appear to do so.
I'm appalled by the way the tour was run. £27.50 per person and we didn't even see the winemaking equipment. It was 10 mins looking at some vines, another 5 looking at a big tank, then inside to watch a video repeating the same information. Tour was advertised to run until 9:30...ended at 8:20. Got given three half glasses of wine, one of which was a red which was fizzy. I asked if it was meant to be and received the response: "sometimes". They then proceeded to tell us that if we attended their craft fair at the weekend, they would have "all of the wines open to try". There was approx £600 of payments in the room and they couldn't be bothered to open more than three wines for us to taste. Oh and there was moderate bigotry. Avoid.
Go there for fishing. Always nice courteous staff. They got some really nice flapjacks and plenty of other things. Below are some the carp my friends and I caught.
What a wonderful experience! Gin tasting in the very well shop, and coffee and cake in the loft cafe! A fabulous variety of foods and drinks, both in the cafe and in the shop below. I’ll certainly be returning to do a vineyard tour and wine tasting!
Nice fishing venue, and bisto. With a lovely little shop. Nice food up stairs, breakfast brought to your fishing peg. Nice fishing pools. Love it.
We attended for the artisan market which operates once per month. It is an excellent experience with lots of local produce and hand crafted items. Would recommend.
