We visited there for a Friday night of Bingo. Even though we were outsiders from Brum the locals that were in there made us welcomed. The owners father who was running the bingo had a laugh with us which we took in good spirit. I think families would have a good time at this site.
I had fish and chips here today after a lovely day out in Tenby with my family. I am sorry to say that the food here was disgusting. We were all really hungry and couldnt eat any of it. All went in the bins at Manorbier. If you are quick you mind find some rancid chips here. Cans of fizzy drink £2.40 EACH!!! What an absolute rip off!!! £42 food cost me and I can get exactly the same at home for less than £30 and it is edible too. We live in one of the most expensive parts of the UK. Really guys, up your game or prepare to close down. I dont really leave reviews but i had to this time, save your well earned money guys. Give this place a wide birth, i feel for the locals having to pay these prices for utterly inedible food!
We've been camping at this site many times over the years, from the days when the bar was just a Tin Shack and the transformation to what the site is now is amazing, all that needs upgrading now in my veiw is the toilet and shower block, not that they are dirty just a bit dated. The owner Damien was very welcoming, friendly and humble as he has always been to us, the staff were friendly and helpfull. See you next year Buttyland.
Haven’t stayed at the park but AVOID FISH AND CHIP SHOP! Most expensive chip shop I’ve ever been to and smallest portions. Staff are absolutely clueless and can’t take orders very well or complete orders. Very inexperienced and amazingly overpriced. £4.00 for large chips, more expensive than chip shops in Tenby! A full tourist town! Chips were dry too.
I haven't stayed on the park which looks pleasant enough but bought from the fish and chip shop. The chips were mainly hard and rubbery as if cooked much earlier and warmed up more than once. There was a lot of chips with peel still on them, I won't be buying again.
They make a big point of saying the Fish and Chip shop is open every day except Sunday but it wasn't open last Wednesday! Very annoying after driving there specially. Change the sign on the door and don't put sign out on main road unless you are actually open!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! Worst experience of a campsite I have ever come across. The showers and toilets were absolutely disgusting! The showers were covered in hair with what I can only describe as thick yellow paste smeared all over the walls. The toilets were hardly cleaned for the week we were there either. The owner was very miserable and manipulative man. Unless you are spending money in the pub there is a zero noise policy on site. Told to be quiet by 10pm however the pub was open until 11:30pm. The owner demanded we pay an additional £100 per caravan as a noise bond other wise he would kick us off site. The arcade for the kids was vile, rubbish thrown everywhere on the floor and again wasn’t cleaned up for the entire week we was there. No park on site for the children either. We paid for for a gold pitch and I wouldn’t bother, it was exactly the same as the rest of the campsite. Only positive for the chips from the chip shop tasted ok. As a family I would advise you visit another campsite nearby.
Absolutely the WORST campsite we have ever been to! We paid £305 for a week, I wouldn’t stay here if the owner paid me £305 for 1 night! The owner was the most arrogant, self centred man I have ever spoken to. We arrived with 4 caravans, 17 people, 8 were adults, 9 were children. We left with 3 caravans, 6 adults and 7 children, as the owner kicked a caravan from our party off ‘HIS LAND’ for loud behaviour! So 2 children had to cut their holiday short for being too loud! It’s appalling!! He then made the remaining 3 caravans give £100 each, as a good behaviour bond! WE DONT COME ON HOLIDAY TO SIT IN SILENCE!! The long term caravans were very unwelcoming! The place isn’t one bit dog or child friendly! If our dogs were off the lead we would have been kicked off site no matter what! We weren’t aloud to put any pools up, there’s no park on site. The first day we arrived I used the cleanest toilet that was there, still bogging, which had a dead moth next to the sanitary towel bin, which was head height on a shelf. I used that same toilet every single day, 1 week later that dead moth was still there! It’s absolutely disgusting! And the showers, I felt cleaner walking bare foot on the muddy field than in the shower block. If you are looking for a fun, family friendly, dog friendly, clean and relaxing camp site, DO NOT go here! We were on egg shells the whole week! Felt like an army camp! I’m glad we experienced it to share with others, to not do the same thing and waste your money here!
Very busy at weekends, nothing in the week, everything closes. Seem to only cater for the seasonal people who go home after the weekend No WiFi had to use my data, although it say on advert it has it. Toilets were OK, took one look at the showers and used my own, the dressing / seating area either needs a coat of paint or actually is as dirty as it looks. Location is good for Monorbier Castle and beach, easy to access from Tenby with a caravan on tow.
Good location for getting around Pembrokeshire but.... Pro's... On site club with WiFi bar, some entertainment and big screen TV's for watching sport. On site fish and chip shop. On site laundry, freezer and shower/toilet block. Cons... Showers and toilets not cleaned very well at all and not maintained. One toilet seat was broken on arrival and still broken when we left after two weeks. How much does it cost to buy one and you could get one delivered next day surely! Washing machine in the laundry was "out of order" on arrival and still two weeks later when we left. Draft cola or lemonade £4 a pint... Waste is not sorted for recycling, everything goes in together even though some of the bins had recycling stickers! No dedicated play area/s for kids. Will not be going back again! Love the area but very disappointed with this site!
