When you want a great pint, a friendly atmosphere, superb service and absolutely fantastic home cooked food there’s only a handful of places you can go and Stubbing Wharf is one of them. You can take the dog, turn up in your walking clobber, enjoy great chat. It’s welcoming warm and friendly and I bloody love it here. I visited on Sunday just gone and eat the most amazing steak and ale pie with a pint and caramel apple tart to finish. Absolutely outstanding.
Great location but unfortunately the food and service is totally shambolic. People waiting for over an hour for food .Also my friend ordered a sticky pudding I could not believe the size off the portion about 1 1/2 inch square and tough has old boots and hardly any custard on complaining we got a free drink .So did the people who were waiting well over an hour for the mixed grill .Great location on the canal but avoid the food .I have the feeling that they give a lot of drinks away a total shame
Great pub, in a great location with great staff. Spent two nights camped up in the car park, the staff were very helpful and the beers were nice. Will definitely be going back.

Lovely food at the Stubbing Wharf, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Canal side setting was lovely.
The food was nice and the staff were very friendly, but the service could have been better. We booked a table for 8 but were given two tables for four. We had to rearrange tables ourselves. A friend ordered extra Yorkshires to go with the main course but they brought them out half way through the starter, maybe to dip into the soup? Then the main course was served but nobody had any cutlery to eat with . Desserts took an age to be served. The food was very tasty though.
Lovely pub, great menu, soo dog friendly and let's not forget the staff. Meet & greet second to none. Always welcoming and ready to serve. So great to get this level of service, do not miss out on this hostelry And the food is good as well
Lovely pub in a beautiful location. Rustic old style pub, with a good range of cask ales and drinks. Unfortunately the pub has been bought by a 'chain' so the food quality has been affected and the prices have gone up. I understand due to pandemic etc.. this was the only way for the place to survive but paying £13.49 for a very ordinary fish and chips which had wet batter is very disappointing. In comparison to 4 years ago when I last went they are miles apart in quality. I will return but only for a drink.
Superb location canalside. Dog friendly, extensive menu. Lovely walks all around. Friendly staff, good selection of drinks. You should make an effort to go next time you are near Hebden Bridge.
Just had our wedding reception here and it has been amazing. Great service, nice food and good fun. Would recommend for a small wedding
