We've just returned from an overnight "posh b&b" stay and overall everything was excellent. The staff were friendly, relaxed and very helpful. The room was spacious clean and well furnished with excellent tea and coffee making facilities, and home made shortcake biscuits. The food in restaurant was delicious with a good vegetarian selection . The breakfast was high quality, with a large range of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals , pastries plus a varied range of cooked breakfasts. A luxurious stay we looking forward to repeating
We’ve recently moved to Holt and tried Byford’s for the first time last night. We weren’t disappointed! The food was delicious as was the wine and real ale. My husband said the pork belly was the best he’d ever eaten! The staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. At the end of our evening we had a chat with Mary, our waitress who was really informative and a lovely lady. We will definitely be back soon!
We went to the Afternoon Tea Extravaganza, which was amazing! The staff were all friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. There were sandwiches and hot savory food brought to our table, and a lovely table full of cakes, tarts and quiches for you to help yourself. I was certainly full at the end and everything was delicious! The Extravaganza's are held on the first Sunday of every month and it definitely worth a visit. Byford's is a lovely venue also, right in the middle of Holt.
Eleven of us came for Saturday night dinner, it was very good. Plenty of choice on the menu. Our dinners were hot and nicely presented. Friendly and polite staff. A clean and tidy restaurant. Clean toilets. Parking nearby. We always visit here when in the surrounding area. RecommendedService: 5/5
Myself and my partner went yesterday for the Extravaganza Afternoon Tea...What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. It is afternoon tea with a difference. The food was amazing from the savouries to the sweet delights of the cakes on offer...I have never seen so many tempting cakes in one space before ..The service was very good too...Will most definitely be doing this again....I have even dropped hints my birthday falls on the first Sunday of the month ...We was given a box to bring some sweet treats home with us...Bonus
I've not been for years, but it's improved massively. Food was delicious and well priced and the restaurant was clean. My only gripe was that because we had a baby even though we were at the front of a long queue we were made to wait whilst other parties were seated. I'm not taking off a star because the food was good, but after waiting 15 minutes to be seated to then have others go past us didn't feel fair.
Love this place. Have been many times now, having eaten in the restaurant, stayed overnight, and got take out food lots. Always a treat, always helpful staff. Consistently excellent!Rooms: 5/5
This was one of the most enjoyable stays I have had in recent years. They have got the mix just right. The rooms have been tastefully done up, with lovely touches, such as homemade shortbread and fresh milk. The staff are amazing, friendly and fun. They clearly enjoy working there and make you feel welcome. The food is really good, and their current 3-2-1 evening meal deal is excellent. Thanks, Team Byfords. You are all legends, and we will be back!!
The pub we were staying in gave us vouchers to use for breakfast at Byfords. Byfords has a lovely warm, cosy ambience. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfasts were amazing. Great choices and generous portions. Kept us going all day. Would highly recommend Byfords and look forward to returning.Service: 5/5
Byfords is a must for lunch when visiting Holt. They really do a excellent job with their food and coffee service. The deli counter is great for a quick bite too. Lines can get long for dining in, so book in advance if you have time constraints. Food & drinks: Yum!
