This school did not tend to any of my needs as a scholar and held me back so far in life.
Amazing school and fantastic teachers. Really made an effort to continue our daughters education during the lockdown. Fantastic facilities including cricket pitch, basketball courts, swimming pool, football pitch’s including astroturf. Could not recommend this school highly enough as it has a wonderful family feel to it that is lacking in other schools. We feel they really care not just about the education but the happiness and well-being of there students too.
Attending this school 4-16 held me back so far in life, I'm only just getting past it in my 30s. Comprehensive system of bullying, no girls, no preparation for the real world. Mr Lee the German teacher was cool but not enough to balance out the negative aspects.
Systematic bullying tolerated by teachers and leaders during my time there 1992 to 2000. Leaders of the junior school were the worst back then, though I do believe most of these have finally retired and hopefully replaced by those who care about the profession rather than the image of what a grammar school should be. People like Mr Newton were glorious examples of fools who had no business of being teachers. People like Mr Byrnes who hated those with little sports abilities, and attempted and luckily failed to dash the dreams of students. 5th to 7th form were good, facilities were and are to date excellent. But those early years hope to forget.
I cannot rate this school accurately today. A marvellous headmaster for twenty years called Mr Robson. Really fantastic. Maybe not many remember him anymore.
Very good School with high expectations. So halal mode.
