Keep reporting damaged and unpassable when rains Baron Street. Our children walking this way to St Gabriel's High school. Street on council door step but they are so short sighted can't see it.
Bury Council do absolutely nothing now for the residents of Bury except keep increasing our council tax. I reported a falling branch from a tree on council land on our car causing damage last August and am still waiting. Reported missed green bin collection on March 27 and was advised they would post out bags and none have arrived. I reported blocked grids, potholes, fly tipping and they don't want to know. I used to be proud to live in Bury but not anymore! Also what is being done about the indoor market? Some people still haven't been relocated and it's six months now and this is their livelihood!
Where does the council tax money go exactly? This place is a filthy dump. Why doesn’t anyone do anything about this? There’s trash all over the place like a third world country.
Horrible website, two different portals, can't reset username, terrible user interface and they don't have an email address for assistance. It's not easy to check your council tax and you can't find a detailed breakdown of which months you have repaid already and how much you have left to pay simple stuff, come on guys!. They weren't very helpful when we wanted to changed the names appearing on our council tax. I had to call them 2 times and send emails for a simple name change highlighted in bold our names and prefixes which to this day has incorrect prefix assuming that my partner is male which is incorrect.
Never really had to contact Bury council in the 16 years I have lived in the Borough. The past 8 months however I have had to speak to them pretty much twice weekly regarding my daughter and her school place. Unsupportive, insensitive, unsympathetic, difficult, challenging, to offer a few words to describe my experience. The service we have had to use is a service not fit for purpose. If I could give zero stars I would.
Worst council ive seen! 4 months to process a council tax bill??? And then making me pay all in short notice! Unbelievable ! Just not to say I had to be the one contacting them I never received letters since moving in! Call waiting time over 40min. Unprofessional staff. Never reply to emails. Innacurate information.
Thanks you Bury council the landfill is allowed to continue with dodgy deals no doubt. Meanwhile all who live nearby are allowed to breath the poisoned air and have the audacity to erect clean air signs all over the place.
£200 pm for council tax and the roads are a disgrace. The stink of the landfill blows over whilst it's potholes galore down Dumers La, been like that for nearly three months now yet there's plenty of money for the new hub in Radcliffe.????
Leaving a review on behalf of a friend who lives in prestwich. Every time I visit my friend I am in shock by the absolute mess that is left outside, bins never ever get emptied, people come from all over to dump their old appliances. There have been drug users shooting up behind the bin shelters that we have both had to get rid of numerous times. I’ve seen a lady dispose of her dogs waste and put it in the glass recycling bin, can hardly blame her when there was no general waste bin. I would encourage anyone who pays council tax to bury council to withhold any payments until services you pay for start getting rendered, you can also claim refunds through the direct debit scheme ;. I took these photos and reported them in September, still not heard anything 2 months on and bins are still in the same state but worse. Absolutely terrible council, as a Trafford resident I can really see the difference. Bury have a lot to learn, they’re letting their community down terribly.
The SEN team/ EHCP not fit for purpose. They add there own rules and criteria onto the ehcp processes which is unlawful Blatant attempt at saving money by refusing to assess and over turning 30 seconds into mediation. During the ehcp process they conveniently don't email the professionals there supposed to and claim its on the recievers side.. its not multiple multiple to multiple professionals do not go missing in cyber space for days and then suddenly turn up when we ring and enquire. The attitude of the staff is just patronising, when you complain bury council refuse to log the complaints which again in itself is unlawful. I have researched absolutely everything and understand this is a council under considerable debt however they should not be making unethical choices. I have contacted the press about this to highlight yet another bury council disgrace in regards to children with SEN
