Bought 2 Glastonbury parties from your Street shop today and was very disappointed, consistency was ok but very bland. Did someone forget the seasoning?
Having only moved here 3 months ago, I must say this is the best bakery . The rhubarb muffins are to die for, that’s my treat after a good long walk. This is such a lovely friendly shop, everything looks so tempting you really want one of everything. Highly recommend.
Recent two visits have been so disappointing. Raved about Bob and his bakery for years. My favs being cheese and broccoli lattice, cheese and onion pasty and the viennese? fingers. All 3 have gone down hill. Both pasties were less than half filled and there was barely a scraping of chocolate on each end of the finger. It's putting me off buying again. I buy from all locations too. Come on guys. You're so much better than this
Great quality Bakes, the Pasty and the Bacon turnover are tasty, my one niggle is the rather pedestrian choice of Bread they sell, all pretty dull, apart from the Corn Bread which is great but only baked a couple of times a week, no Rye, Baguettes or Sourdoughs etc in sight .....I have to go all the way to Bristol to get a decent Sourdough...or make it myself!
Glastonbury pasty seems to be getting smaller and more expensive! Sign of the times I guess.
Lovely bakery. Great selection. Give it a try.
Have visited a couple of times while visiting family in the area and sorry to say I just don't understand the rave reviews! Perhaps the area is lacking in decent baked goods so people aren't sure what's good any more... As for any decent comments on eccles cakes... I'd suggest a trip up north to see what the crack really is!
Lovely quaint old bread shop, staff are superb, very helpful and cheery. Lots of variety of product, breads, cakes and pastry goods. The sausage rolls are just yummy. Parking via Clarks village car park I suggest
Delicious piece of bread pudding served by a friendly member of staff. Everything looked fresh and well presented, with a wide selection of bread, cakes, hot pastries & tasty sandwiches, I can't wait to go back!
Was a bit disappointed to see someone brushing the floor and money handling, but then not stopping to wash their hands when they made my breakfast roll. I'll still eat there but didn't eat that roll. Not good hygiene practice. Plus the lady wasn't corrected by anyone else working which was concerning.
