It's about time the st Peter's swimming baths in Burnley actually let kids in the pool to have a good time, all they are interested in is making money off swimming lessons, it's like pulling teeth trying to find some free time in the small pool with my granddaughter, it's not all about lessons they need to have some fun as well.
I've been using St Peters Leisure Centre since October. To begin with the facilities were really clean but it's going down hill lately, which is a real shame as it just puts people off and doesn't reflect well on the Leisure Centre.nnI only use the gym and the female changing rooms but there is often no toilet roll in the toilets, the toilets are dirty, there isn't always soap in the tap dispensers.nnIn the gym there are spray bottles and blue roll always available which is great, but there's hand sanitiser machines on the wall without sanitiser in. There never has been since I started using the facilities. What's the point in that?nnWould it be possible to get a full length mirror in the female changing room?nSome of us leave the gym in a morning and go straight to work, so checking we're not looking sloppy would be good .nn**update: 04.2.25** my review has been acted on, and issues have been addressed.
Well going to good to be true back to square 1 people coming in there tracksuit bottoms how the hell is there swim wear allowed in ,the staff just turn a blind eye can’t be bothered at all different Colour wristbands starting to happen every morning staff can’t be bothered as usual there is a lack of leadership in St. Peter’s it’s such an easy job all they do is wonder around the pool laughing and joking instead of taking time to monitor the health suit right appropriate swim wear and the right wrist bands needs some attention to detail in there management must be able to see wats going on it’s a shame run right it would be great but as it is it’s a mess .
This place is getting bad! The pool is constantly full of hair balls and plasters! Went today Sunday the 17/11/2024 and the water was merky and the pool floor was disgusting, on the back of this the sauna and steam were over filled with young men, all laughing about putting to much menthol oils in the sauna and steam room. The wrist bands haven't stopped them letting their mates in one bit! Definitely gone down hill in the last few months and the staff don't deal with any of it!
The reception staff are great.nnThe gym is really good after the recent refurb and expansion.nnThe reduction in opening hours a while back was a disappointment. It can be hard to use the facilities at weekends.nnIn the health suite, women are allocated approximately 4 x more time than men with the womens sessions totaling 8 hours & 15 minutes and the men's sessions just 2 hours 15 minutes.nnThe health suite always has the same group of people spitting in the grates, bin and showers. I saw one man spitting in the drinking fountain!nnThe new pre-booking system being proposed for the health suite is ridiculous and massively inconvenient.
