Great outdoor spot for photography same as have a few hours of walk in the woods Do often take my dog here too It’s does have few car parks. It does have bins, but majority next to the entrance,so could benefit with few more. It does have cafe on site. It does have play area. Have woods and fields. Located close to golf course. Have some picnic areas and benches. Secluded enough for safe dog walking experience.
don’t forget your wellies! we had no idea how muddy it was, I believe we were the only family without proper shoes! that said it is great place to take your kids and have loads of fun exploring, we had an awesome time! free parking and a lovely coffee shop too!
This is a wonderful Common land in Hinckley, very large and a varied environment with a great cafe on site, plenty of free parking too. This is a great place to take kids, the dog, go for a walk or a picnic in the summer. We visited today and it was lovely weather and was great just to walk around and get some fresh air. Highly recommended.
Lovely walk round burbage common, looked like there putting an extra path from the car parks into the woods.
Great children's playground with a good variety of things for younger and older children. Parking is free and plenty of spaces. There's a cafe/visitor centre and toilets. There are a couple of picnic tables within the play area and some benches too.
Right on my doorstep, a 10 minute walk and we're on open countryside and woodland. If you're driving, there's ample parking off Leicester Rd and also layby parking up Smithy Lane just off Sapcote Rd. Acorns Cafè serves hot and cold drinks, ice cream, homemade cakes and light lunches. Plenty of tables outside or eat in. Brand new play area for the children
So beautiful, such a nice walk, can walk for hours. The woods are so peaceful and calming, and look amazing in the sun. Such a nice area! Free parking aswell, which is always a bonus. Definitely will go again.
Great outdoor space and well used by dog walkers, horse riders, walkers and others. There are 3 car parks around the common and woods all free, a visitor center and a farmhouse cafe popular with the dog walkers. There are prepared trails in the woods - which is handy in the winter when the common can be very wet and boggy. The woods are managed for birds and wildlife.
There's a big car park, when You start a trail from this side of Burbage Common and Woods. There are also two different car parks from opposite side of Woods. Path begins by meadows nearby Golf Course, then heading into the Woods. It's good to go through the tunnel into another woodlands and make a long walk. Many signs and marks, litters and gates so it's easy to find all locations.
Such a lovely place in which to walk and watch the birds right on my doorstep. Plenty of trails to take towards Hinckley, Elmesthorpe and the surrounding areas. There's even a take away cafe alongside the visitors centre. Definitely somewhere to visit often.
