I don’t normally write reviews, but I feel I need to now. My son and myself haven’t seen a dentist since 2019. I understand it has been a pandemic, but since we have now had 3 appointments cancelled. Last appointment was because the dentist decided to have a day off. Been trying to contact them to rearrange a 4th appointment, but no one seems to answer the phone. I am very sad, how poor this dentist has become. I have been a client of theirs for 30 years since I was a child myself. They need to go back to how they operated before. It used to be well run and I would have given it 5* back then.
Just had my 6 month check up. Had a nice cheery welcome from the receptionist Ann-Marie. Debbie the Hygienist was very helpful and my teeth sparkle. Then onto the dentist George. I am a bit nervous around dentists but he made me feel nice and relaxed. I have been going to this dentist practice for 35 years and would thoroughly recommend them
I have two children aged 7 and 10 who are registered with this dental practice. They last saw a dentist in 2018. Before the pandemic their appointments were cancelled due to a lack of available dentist. Then the pandemic happened and all appointments were cancelled for 2 years. Their latest appointment in August has now been cancelled again due to a lack of an NHS dentist and we are told just to wait for another appointment to be made. Just how long are we supposed to wait? Another 4 years.
Went here today because I had a gum infection. It was a 111 appointment, so I got in at 9:30, and I was expecting the usual 1-2 hour wait. Instead, I was in by 9:40 and had a prescription and diagnosis by 9:55. Honestly the best medical service I've had in a very very long time.
I don`t normally write reviews, but I feel the Shanklin Practice is certainly due some praise. Having been a private patient for many years I have seen this practice go through many changes - some good, some bad - but I must say that since the appointment of a new practice manager the service myself and my wife are now receiving is excellent. The staff are very friendly and courteous as well as looking the part in the new uniforms. Our new dentist is very professional in explaining our dental needs, and when treatment is required, works to a very high standard ensuring our comfort and treatment is taken care of. I am so impressed with the treatment we now receive that I have encouraged family members to also use the practice, and they too are extremely happy with the service. A huge well done to the staff and in particular the practice manager for making our visits to the dentist a much nicer experience. I would recommend Bupa Shanklin to anyone looking for a dentist. Well done.
Wow, not the bravest of people when it comes to dentists, but I would highly recommend this practice to anyone. Had an abscess and I could not praise the staff; from the receptionist thank you for calming my nerves, the nurse again thank you for your understanding and the dentist thank you for being so kind an explaining what you were about to do with putting things in my mouth an for being so helpful In helping get my teeth etc sorted out once an for all !!! . But honestly, highly rate this dentist, the best I have ever experienced. Thank you
I was suffering from horrendous toothache and had tried many over the counter remedies with no success. I called the practice in the morning and by 11:30 I was able to be seen by a dentist. The practice provided hand sanitizer, facemasks and ensured good measures to be Covid compliant. An X Ray spotted a huge cavity and they were able to offer me either a root filling or an extraction. I opted for an extraction and did not feel any pain and was well looked after. Would def recommend! Although paying privately, I also felt they were priced fairly compared to other dentists.
I've been using Arthurs Hill dentists for around 4-5 years. I've had nothing but great experiences with them and the staff have been very friendly understanding. The only issue I have that prevents me giving 5 stars is that well over 50% of the time there seems to be nobody there to answer the phone :/ If you have the patience to keep calling, you can get great dentistry here :D
