ALWAYS a fabulous service! Mariana, my dentist, makes me feels at ease-she is SO professional and yet easy going. I was, and sometimes am, a nervous patient- but every single time I’ve come out wondering why I was nervous! The reception staff are always helpful and polite, and the dental assistants very professional. The treatment I’ve had has been exemplary.Well done BUPA!
Having experienced both civilian & military health care, down through the yrs. always to very high standards with, mostly successful & positive results! I can honestly say, the care & treatment I have received at Ivybridge, BUPA Dental Care Practice, for some yrs. now, has by far, been the best, I have ever had. Always, friendly & welcoming Staff, putting one at ease from, the off! A very professional, committed & supportive Team, one & all. Thank you!
Best dental service in the south west, Fabulous reception team, and the dentists are kind caring patient. Lovely people, and amazing at their jobs. They also specialise in people who are nervous or worried, I wouldn’t go anywhere else,
Always receive excellent service here. Very friendly and polite staff. Had to use once in an emergency and was given an appointment quickly. Excellent dentist in Georgi. Always takes time to explain procedure and options.
Normally an efficient good service but.. And this review is for my wife. She booked an appointment and every time before they would send a text to remind you of your appointments as per me before they stopped even reminding me of my next check up due! this time they did text her though the day after to say she had missed her appointment! Six days later a letter to say she had to pay £40 missed appointment! Which I would understand normally had they sent the usual reminder out beforehand! On the phone they asked if she would like to rebook after paying! Of course she did not book. We will both find an alternative Dentist. Dissapointed of a usually efficient service. ***Edit, I see your reply about contacting you, ut in the mean time you took myself and my wife off your Bupa dental care and said will no longer be available to usl via a letter. I guess that is what you get when you give a negative review. Totally unprofessional and it backs up my review of your practice. I had no intentions of. Coming back anyway but to send to my wife as well is disgusting. A year or two ago I gave only 3 stars because I complained how you were charging extra £10 for supplying a Covid mask and you asked me to change it as you wanted to apply for dental practice of the year prize. I did then and you offered a free hygeneist treatment which you cancelled due to dentist not being available second appointment I couldn't make it then you stopped contacting for appointments. This negative review stays and is valid. Terrible service.

Feel exceptionally lucky to be able to use their service. My husband and I have both needed emergency treatment and have been fitted in at short notice. Huge thanks to dentist Julia for her competence and kindness, Lucy for being a great hygienist and to receptionists Sue and Dan for going above and beyond to help us. All staff are friendly and efficient and as my husband is vulnerable we had confidence during lockdown that they were taking the utmost care with their procedures to protect everyone.
Everyone I have interacted with at this Dental Practice has been amazing, really friendly and putting you at ease, it has a fresh feel to the place and is spotlessly clean.
What a professional service this practice provides for the local community. As an extremely nervous patient with a range of experiences from previous dental practices around the country the correct choice of dentist was important to me. Bupa Dental Care Ivybridge is an extremely efficient practice that exudes professional practice. This starts with the helpful and highly knowledgeable reception team right through to the Dentist including of course the dental nurses and hygienist. I always judge a service or place by considering if I would I go back there again, and while it will never rate as a great tourist attraction it is certainly a place that I have felt comfortable visiting over the past seven years. I also consider what could be improved and I can honestly say that I can’t think of anything after all it would be difficult to improve on perfection! While I am sure all the dentists are excellent at their jobs I have to say my own experience of Mariyana Tomova has been exceptional and rate her as easily the best dentist I have ever encountered over my 60+ years.
