Buon Apps is situated in a beautiful location next to the River Wharfe. The food we had was of a very high standard, and we were really impressed by the service. The restaurant has a great vibe about it and feels very authentic. Prices are slightly above average. There is a small section inside the main restaurant where you can buy genuine Italian chocolate and biscuits. Buon Apps comes highly recommended. There is ample car parking right next to the restaurant.
I’ve eaten here a few times and chose it to celebrate my mum’s 80th birthday, we were a group of 17 What a fabulous afternoon we all had. The service was exceptional. All the food came out together and piping hot. Everyone loved their food, my roast porchetta was delicious. We ordered a gluten free cake, which was moist and tasty. It came beautifully decorated and then they sliced up for everyone. Five star for the food, service and ambience Dietary restrictions: Catered very well for gluten free requirements
This is a premium restaurant set in a fairly lovely place right beside the River Wharfe in Otley. There is a free car park right beside the restaurant. The interior decor is pleasing. Each area feels intimate. The choice of dishes is good and the staff are pleasant. Our confirmed booking had got missed/lost, but the team bent over backwards to fit us in and meet our requests. The puddings were exceptional. Our main dishes were great, but not exceptional. You pay above average to eat here and it is worth it. The dishes are not standard, run-of-the-mill pub or Italian fare. They have an interesting twist. However, for us the main dishes didn’t have a wow factor. Nevertheless, I’d recommend Buon Apps.
Wow, just wow. This place is beautiful. The setting by the river is stunning, especially in the spring sunshine. Service is prompt and very efficient. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food is so good you have to try it. The Ragu was full of flavour and the lasagna was authentic in style and taste. I enjoyed my pizza and garlic bread. To say it wasn’t busy when we went the service wasn’t good at all. Ordered our drinks and they took a very long time to come. When they did a drink had been missed off. The waiter did go back and get the drink which took a while again. We ordered our food and after the waitress left she came back 5 minutes later to check the order again. Even after she had checked it over when we ordered. Starters were ok but no wow factor for the price they are. Mains were better but still not amazing. I had lasagne which had sausage in which was different to lasagne I’m used to but that is personal preference. I’d have thought for the price which is higher than average the food would be excellent. The dessert however, was fantastic it was the peanut stack. I cannot fault this dessert at all. The restaurant has a free large carpark outside and is situated in a very scenic area. It’s clean inside and a nice place to be. Just let down with the service and food sadly

What an incredible restaurant, the food was phenomenal and the setting is stunning. We had the seafood starter which was so fresh and then the tagliatelle with half lobster from the specials menu. One of the best meals I have had I'm a long time and it was our wedding anniversary so they reserved us a window seat and gave us a free glass of prosecco each. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening. Update 2022: still incredible, looked after my whole family really well, amazing new menu and service is second to none.
The food is simply stunning! Having heard about Buon Apps from others, I thought I’d give it a try. I was not disappointed. The service was great, the view was beautiful and the food was on another level. Ample parking outside of the restaurant and whilst the upstairs portion of the restaurant may not be pram or wheelchair friendly, there is ample seating downstairs. Buon Apps is most definitely on the list to visit again, and soon! Compliments to the chef and the waiting staff for excellent food and service.
From the minute you walk through the door you step into a 'taste' of Italy. A warm welcome for sure. We were placed at a window table, looking out over the Wharfe. We were greeted by charming Sicilian lady obviously proud of her heritage. The menu is vast and so tempting. The food was 'amazing', the wine was a beautiful smooth Chianti available by the glass too!. As we left after a lovely culinary experience we spotted a shelf of 'goodies'....cantuccini to go. Overall a great experience.
