Golf club now open to non members.nLovely conservatory to sit in.nFour of us had a light lunch of filled baguettes followed by some shared brownies. All very reasonable prices with very friendly staff, also an area to sit outside with dogs, worth a visit.nnVisited again for a light lunch, as before very good service and value for money, comfortable surroundings, highly recommend.
Great days golf today at Bungay. From the warmest of welcomes by the ladies in the Pro shop to the excellent brownies enjoyed in the club house and then more taken home,we couldn’t have had a better day. The course played well, but for us all the best thing was the welcome we received. Looking forward to returning on the 17th of May.
A warm welcome in the shop from Sally and an interesting course made very challenging in the strong wind. Some really intriguing holes with elevated and sunken greens, the course makes good use of the terrain it has. Greens good enough for the winter and overall a track worth playing.nnLeft feeling great as I stiffed my 9i for a birdie on the last hole:nn5 star as exceeded my expectations all round and well worth the winter or twilight green fee they charge.
A rather unremarkable golf course made remarkable by the staff and some members that seem to think their golf course is a 5 star restaurant rather than the motorway services it is.nnA team of 4 getting round the course in just over 4.5hrs, letting smaller groups play through and not once holding another group up should not be told repeatedly to hurry up and should certainly not be chased down by staff demanding that we let members play through who we had already spoken to and agreed that they were welcome to play through if they wished .nnSpent the whole round worrying we weren't playing fast enough. If that wasn't enough the course is dangerous with one area having 4 greens within throwing distance from each other.nnCredit where credit is due, the food was actually quite nice once you get past the delightful old woman who apparently hasn't been advised the correct response to thank you as she just ignored every single one of us trying to be polite.
We all went here from ditchingham bowls club for a Christmas lunch. The food was amazing the staff were lovely. It was a really enjoyable afternoon. If you haven't tried it yet you really must. Everything was perfect and a beautiful location. Thank you so much and merry Christmas xxx
