Opinions about this place are mixed. The service is quite good, the waiters are very friendly. But regarding the taste of food - a big minus. Almost everything we tried was with sweet sauce or smelled of old sunflower oil. As for desserts, we liked them in tall glasses not in a heart-shaped glass! and biscuit cake. We were there for the first time, but we will definitely not go there again. In general, not bad, perhaps for an amateur.
This is the first time I had buffet in the UK. The New Buffet Time does not have many choices nor expensive dishes. But as a Hongkonger, I’m very happy to eat so many Asian dishes at one time with a fair price drinks not included. Today’s champion is the salt-and-pepper shrimp. Sweet and tasty. And you must try the crispy fried chicken chop too. Crispy outside and juicy inside. My focus is on the sushi, which is always expensive to eat here. There are two kinds of soups: hot and sour soup and corn soup. They surprised me. Very local Hong Kong style. I like their cake too. Soft and not too sweet. I miss my home very much. Feeling a relief, this meal made me very satisfied. So I give them full marks.

Good for a quick and easy Chinese if buffet style is what you are looking for. Food was good, wide choice of dishes although some dishes needed refreshing or changing, as opposed to puring in a cup of hot water as we saw happening. A little weird that you have to pay in advance! Staff were pleasant but didn't engage much except with each other. Drinks took an age to arrive.
Terrible food. Terrible attitude. Refused to give my 9 year old a child portion claiming they charge on the size of a person and not their age. My daughter was mortified and left the restaurant in tears. I had to assure her she wasn't fat or abnormal, she's just tall for her age. She is still very insecure now. The floor was so sticky when we walked in shoes were sticking to the floor. Can't imagine it gets cleaned often. I would advise to avoid. Yummy noodles at the enterprise centre is much better quality and friendly. It is not a buffet but sells beautiful food and I would recommend going there instead.
First time here. What a lovely experience. So many different foods I've never had. Note to anyone new here and staff we discovered after we'd eaten there's a scan on the table which tells you about all the different foods. Really informative but wish we'd seen it before as we were eating some deserts as a starter. Otherwise what a great selection of food. So many starters mains and deserts including chips and ice cream for the little ones that are set in there ways. Really good idea is you pay for first drinks and food first obviously to avoid walk outs unlimited refills on soft drinks. And advise is to have small portions and just keep going back to top up as there is a sensible leaflet that says excess food waste will be charged. That said if you only put a couple of bits on you've never had, if you don't like it your not wasting a great deal. Overall we will be going back
A group of 6 of us went here at lunch and the customer service was fantastic. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. Will definitely return when we're next in the area.
Good place for a crowd.. something for everyone -only downside is they have cut back a bit .. ie there is no roast duck /:crispy duck and fairly infrequent top ups of items like salt and pepper Prawns/ squid. [Both excellent if you can get some] Roast pork also great as are the Singapore noodles.. I would like to have seen some stir fried veg but to be fair there were braised mushrooms and steamed broccoli... Kid-friendliness: Appealing to children as wide selection and the inevitable chocolate fountain... Parking: On street parking 2 hours .
I used to only dine at this restaurant with my family, and I have dined tonight, with guests ,6:30PM with high expectations from what I new it was like, sat at our table, then the waitress came over SHOUTING AT US loudly..asking us our drinks, instantly made us annoyed, all my guest and children ordered drinks, my husband ordered refill and I said I was fine, as being a buffet I didn't want to have a drink to fill me up I would've had water. waitress SHOUTING AT US AGAIN "oh you can't share a drink you know you can't have refill and then you drink from it" just to shut her up my husband asked for a sparkling water. NEVER EVER HAVE I FELT SO ASHAMED AT A RESTAURANT AND EMBARRASSED!!!!! I felt so bad that I brought my guesr from abroad at this restaurant. we were all ready to leave and go to nandos instead just because of the disgusting attitude of the waitress. I am never returning to this restaurant. I felt so uncomfortable in that restaurant. to top it off no one attended to our table to clear plates until we finished our meals. which was annoying as we had no room if we wanted to try other foods. The food, has gone WAY down in quality. the only thing I enjoyed of this whole experience was the hot and sour soup. Paid a lot of money and hated every minute. I never leave reviews but I needed to voice my opinion after my experience today. the previous management was so much better, friendly, accommodating and used to remember us as we were frequent customers every time we visit England and even after moving here to live. very disappointed
Been here a few times. Some days its good, other days less choice. Good for quick meal and let kids help themselves. Not much atmosphere but it's definitely worth a look if you like Chinese style food quick.Food: 3/5
