Booked a rental through rental car and paid the amount requested. When I went to pick the car up I was handed a contract showing a nil outstanding balance. In fact they owed me a few pence as I requested to pay in sterling but got billed in Euros. When I picked the car up I said I would return it full. A charge of £2.62 against the pump price of £1.18 is certainly steep. I filled it up at the filling station about 2 minutes away. When I got back to the depot I insisted that the person checking in cars did his inspection while I was present. At another renter in the past they made a retrospective charge for damage I was supposed to have done to a wheel trim. I agreed with the individual that the car was returned undamaged. I also pointed out that the tank was full. I was asked to sign a receipt that was subject to audit. Checking my credit card account today I noticed that they charged me £12 for fuel and the rental charge had also increased by £4.67. I will certainly be contesting these charges. What a rip off.

I booked the prestige car via Expedia. Only at the place, I know I need to provide 2 address proof and 2 credit cards for booking! The car rental procedure is absolutely silly given I have been renting car at various location with hertz, enterprise a car, europcar, Avis, sixt! This is one of the worst procedure! The checks and pre-car rental information is not provided in advance! It is so bad!! On contracts, The staff there at Luton in the evening was patient and considerate ! It earns 2 stars! Otherwise, I will rate zero! As worst still, I called to Luton local office in the morning, it was direct to customer service line! In the evening, as screenshot, I called and waited over 7 minutes without being answered even I was told I was first one on the line since I callled!

Horrible service, I had a car booked and they refused to give it to me, because I need an address proof. I provided four different address proof ( including bank statement and council tax) they refused to take because of not being printed and officially stamped. It looks like they decided to not give me a car no matter what. Please don't book a car here ever.

We rented a car from Bugdet Luton airport two weeks before (~2016/06/23) for 4 days. Car left at 5 am in the morning, the keys dropped in the night box. We were afraid that the bus will not arrive early in the morning, but everything was OK. We rent a car second time from Budget (first time was from Copenhagen Airport) and are very satisfied with everything (personal, car, price ant etc.). If we need to rent a car, the next time we will also rent Budget Car.
