Incredible food, very friendly staff. Would give 6/5 if possible. Perfect end to the day! Only managed to capture the banoffee pie (look at the attention to detail)!

A lovely spot to have lunch, it was quite busy but the staff found space for us. They were friendly and helpful. The menu was good and the food was tasty, with a good selection of drinks. A nice place to eat, would recommend it.

Dear Carol and Ralph.. Another excellent visit for Sunday lunch today. The veg and mixed roast options are always of superb quality. Oh and the puddings are fantastic so says the wife. Thank you chef and team. The service is really top drawer however is working and the younger members of staff are up to too quality very quickly so all credit to core staff team. Really wanted to also say thank you. You have always made us feel comfortable and welcomed whatever the occasion and the atmosphere that you have created is genuinely sincere. Some beautiful interactions with all patrons not just a select few. You always look after the wife which is hugely important and Maypole also puts a smile on Kaths face (and mine). It is clear how respected you both are by the manner in which the vast majority of patrons and friends treat The Bucks Head. There will always be one or 2 out for a free meal , their issue and loss not yours. So Merry Christmas to you all and looking forward to a great New Year. Best wishes Kevin and Kathy x

The food was really good indeed. The portions was huge! It was around 16-17 quid for a roast dinner but the quality did stand up to that. The deserts were amazing! Really very nice! As our pictures will show. The reason its not a 5 star review is the wait staff were a little pushy! Constantly hurrying us through the course and its left a bitter taste due to it. I would go back mind you. Trying to park outside is a nightmare tho!

Outstanding food and the staff were absolutely fantastic.. wonderful country pub selling great beers and absolutely outstanding high quality food... would definitely recommend.
