The pool and changing rooms are clean and organised.nPrices were also reasonable and there is no time-limit on your stay here, so you can swim a few lanes without having to worry about the time or color of your wristband.nnFun hour is great for the kids and since it wasn't too busy, there was enough provided mats/toys/etc for everyone who was interested.nnThe pool has a sauna and steam room right next to it which can be used. I also liked that the pool has a deep end 3m for people/kids that like diving.
Buckie gym is excellent I go aqua fit use the swimming pool sauna, steam room, there are other classes at night which are good though the gym is a little small when it's busy might not get on some equipment but most times if you go when it's quiet you can get on the equipment, staff are excellent and it's always clean well done staff
We used the gym equipment all alright but definitely not enough of it as they have had to put up signage limiting the amount of time each equipment can be used otherwise its alright
We have only used the swimming facilities but there are other facilities here that we cannot rate, therefore 4 stars. The pool area is accessible as far as is reasonable, including an accessible changing area. The facilities are easy to use and there are staff to help when needed, though under present restrictions visitors need to be aware of distancing rules. The whole place is clean and well signposted and there is an access ramp outside for wheelchair users, though it doesn't have tactile paving. Once restrictions are lifted, we have no doubt this will be a good, safe place to go with willing, helpful instructors for those that need.
Standard style of swimming pool with non of the more modern extras like slides etc. But it is clean and well looked after for its age. The staff are wonderful, a pleasure and a credit to their employers, always seem to have a friendly word and a smile. Outside there is a car park with only the one accessible space as far as I could see, it was not the nearest unfortunately and was not properly marked. Star lost for that I'm afraid. But there are ramps for those that need to gain access to the pool area. My granddaughter has asked me to go and watch her in the pool but it seems I would have to sit in my wheelchair in the pool area as far as she can make out, and I really do not want to do that. Opposite the pool building is a skate boarding park which always seems to have folk in there using it, so having it in a central location is clearly a better idea than at the edge of the town, like another town not too far from here where the park is hardly used except to be vandalised.nOverall, it may be an older facility but it suffices for those who like to get out and just enjoy a swim or a sauna.
