A lovely traditional country pub with beams and a welcoming real fire. There is an extensive menu I had the haddock in lager batter with chips and mushy peas. My friend had Bryn bata filled Welsh black beef, mushroom and ale casserole. It looked delicious. It also came with chips and some vegetables. The menu prices on the website could do with updating. The pub is dog friendly. The landlord had a good sense of humour. We will definitely be coming back. Nearby activities: Capel Clay in Bala
Lovely family run pub. We went in for a NYE meal while visiting and Bala and it's by far the best place to eat in or around Bala. The landlord and his wife were very friendly as were the rest of the staff. A nice meal and nice pint. Thanks
Busy pub can be noisy when the rugby is on. Rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfasts are enough to set you up for the day. Location is special, just 5 miles from Bala in spectacular countryside. Food & drinks: Pub grub with good selection. Prices are creeping up everywhere.

Lovely pub, warm and friendly staff also dog friendly pub which is a bonus, nothing is too much trouble for the owners, food is brilliant and good value for money, log fire in most rooms, games room, snug and large reception room what more do you need, they offer B&B so nothing they can't sort, if your passing through with your camper van they can even accommodate that by booking the space in advance.
