Lots of tasty treats, some vegan choices. Only outdoor seating so dress warm if needed. Very dog friendly! They even sell dog treats...
Lovely homemade apricot flapjacks, great for a post run treat. Outdoor seating so was damp today. Need to manage the queues to improve the service
Not the best experience at the cafe today. There were no menus until you got to the till. There was a bit of wait in the queue and I noticed a few people were asked rather abruptly not to block the door by one of the girls working there bringing out the hot food. There was a bit of a musty smell coming from the cafe, I’m not sure if this is because it has been locked up for so long over the lockdown. I eventually placed my order 1 bacon a bap, 1 breakfast bap, 1 standard hot choc and 1 can of coke which came to £15.00. I thought this was a lot. I was given a scrap piece if paper with an order number on and took a seat at the only available bench which was filthy dirty. I waited for about 20 minutes and people served after me were getting their food. I asked one of the girls if my food was in its way and it seemed they had lost my order. They were quite apologetic and I was offered a piece of cake as compensation which I was grateful for. We took a walk and sat somewhere else away from the cafe as the table was so dirty. The cake was lovely but the baps were very disappointing. The bacon was extremely fatty and the take away carton was full of grease. Not worth the money. I don’t think we will be returning which is a shame at it used to be a well run cafe with great food.
Really slick service. Lovely cafe with decent food. Outdoor seating under large parasols so can eat there, whatever the weather.
Brilliant little cafe. The food is good and well priced, the environment is great and the staff are friendly and helpful.
The place was extremely busy and through it all the staff managed to stay friendly. We waited in line for an hour. Personally I think £1.40 for a can of Coke is absurd, but to each their own. The most perturbing thing for me wash the sign about not using microwaves or frying. How then is a baked potato prepared seeing as they take an hour to cook if it is indeed fresh? Bought a scone for my wife though and she really enjoyed it. We'd probably go back.
Busy day with a short que though it went down quickly, food came out quickly and was incredibly tasty. Great value and loads of space to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. Staff were smiley engaging and really helpful. Thank you
Long queue on a cold day but worthwhile. Reasonably-priced food and drinks, good quality. We both enjoyed our meals. Food order came quickly too, once we'd finally made it to the front of the queue to order! Cakes looked really good, sadly didn't get to try them.
Excellent food and service. Also very good value for money. The Brownlow Breakfast was perfectly cooked and used quality ingredients and is well worth the very reasonable price. I found the staff to be quick and efficient and I cannot understand complaints about having to wait unless people are unreasonable about expectations at busy times. Also impressive was the fact that as they were taking our early breakfast order, we could see them making fresh scones in the kitchen at the same time. This will definitely become a regular destination for us, as it already is for many people based on the conversations I heard while we were there. Highly recommended.
Perfect end to a lovely walk. No matter what The weather we always have a cuppa and piece of cake. There's always a queue but that just confirms how nice the cake is. Selection of hot food or sandwiches available also. Dog friendly also.
