My experience with BA was pretty poor. I rarely ever had a prompt response to an email and every interaction I had with them it felt like I had to send chasers and follow-ups. They also dropped the ball when it came to a HMRC query. Given that I was already using FreeAgent before I brought on BA, I'm struggling to see what value-add these folks actually gave me.

Great service and a very amicable bunch. Always respond to questions quickly and happy to have a chat when needed. I know the owner has had extensive experience in the accountancy field so it brings great confidence to know you are in capable hands especially in dealing with HMRC etc.

I am a first time contractor and when I signed up with this company, I was given the impression that they would guide me regarding what I needed to do in order to keep my accounts in order, pay myself the correct amount and do the proper tax returns. I was paying a monthly retainer for this service. I found that my main contact was not proactive in that she never offered to help me with anything. I needed to know the right questions to ask, and if I did that, then she would respond. I ended up asking other contractors for help instead, which wasn't ideal and I got the wrong information on one occasion. Perhaps they are okay for a seasoned contractor, but I wish I had gone with someone else.

First-class accountancy service provided by Alan and his team. I'd highly recommend Broome Affinity to all contractors.

Good bunch of buys. Always respond quickly to email queries etc. My account manager, Rachel, is really helpful. I know that over the summer they were very busy and the service did slow down a bit then but things seem to be back on track. One thing, they are rolling out Freeagent to all of their clients, so if you don't want to use Freeagent, don't use BroomeAffinity
