Brodsworth Hall
"Catch a glimpse of Victorian life at this 'conserved as found' country estate. Brodsworth Hall was built and the pleasure gardens laid out in the 1860s as an up-to-date new home for the Thellusson family and their servants. It survived with remarkably few changes until taken on by English Heritage in 1990. The gardens have been restored and the faded and worn interiors gently conserved, telling the story of the changing fortunes of the people who lived and worked here.Roam the gorgeous grounds, discover the unique Rose garden recently restored to its Victorian splendour and stop for a tea in our pop-up outdoor café."

Went there during an amber warning so it was very warm but there was ice cream and cool drinks available on the grounds and plenty if shaded areas with picnic benches to sit at. The house both outside and inside and the gardens were beautiful, would defiantly recommend.
Lovely place to visit. Everyone in the shop and cafe friendly and the grounds are beautiful. Need to come back in the summer when the roses are flowering. It was lovely to see croquet being played on the lawns today. Finally managed to see inside the house. Lovely day.
Absolutely excellent day out with the family. The gardens are beautiful and absolutely huge. It can be a big tricky in places with a pram, but there are plenty of other routes you can take around that are accessible. The house itself is enormous and there is so much to see. There are guides in most rooms and they are really knowlsdge and can give you information on the house throughout the years. I would definitely come again!
Amazing day here. We planned for the indoors for the weather, but we're lucky enough to get the best of the weather to walk the gardens and appreciate the grounds. The interior of the house is so interesting, along with the family history. It's a really great property that's got everything you need. The tea rooms were great, friendly staff with good choices for snacks and meals.
Lovely and well looked after place. We visited with the kids during half term and they had Halloween themed actors telling tales of witches - kids loved it. Take pack up, the prices for food and drinks are extortionate We would definitely come back though.
The gardens are very well maintained and a pleasant walk round, the house was only downstairs on my visit due to low volunteer numbers unfortunately. The children's play area is for younger children about 8 and under, the church was inaccessible but still had a lovely view. Toilets, gift shop, and café on site. Overall short bit sweet place to visit.
We visited Brodsworth Hall and Gardens, on Monday for the first time. The Gardens are magnificent, and so well kept. I loved the house, but was disappointed that the upstairs was closed off, due to the lack of volunteers, the volunteers I met are very knowledgeable and do a fantastic job, well done.
We visited for the first time today and we will be going back. The house is wonderful with lots to see, some of the rooms were shut due to low volunteers but what we did see was beautiful. The gardens are just as pretty and well kept. There is a cafe serving lovely food along with a gift shop and second hand book shop. The staff and guides were all really friendly and able to pass so much information. If you haven't been you must..
This EH property is well worth a visit. I went on a Sunday and although busy , there was more than enough time and room to see everything. The house was interesting and volunteers knowledgeable, the gardens were beautiful had a brass band playing while I was there too . There is a smallish cafe serving the usual fair of jacket potato's , patries and cakes. Highly recommended.
A beautiful place to visit. The House is beautiful inside and retains all the period features…excellent English architecture and furniture. The gardens are set in wonderful landscaped areas. All in all an excellent place for a day out.
