This is a regular spot for me to do a walk. It’s good to take a breather and enjoy the atmosphere. You might see families with kids or people with dogs walking there. There is also a spot where you can sit and have your Lunch or a small picnic.
While waiting for my bike to be serviced, I took the opportunity to take a stroll around this lovely lake. The pathway is of tarmac and forms a circuit around the whole lake, so is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs all year round. There are benches aplenty...with most being made from heavy duty recycled plastic, nice places to sit while watching the many species of waterfowl on the lake.nI was amazed while walking, that there was no litter...hard to believe in such a popular place. So, well done Waverley Council and the locals who use it...makes the whole thing much nicer.
A relaxing place to have a walk around. Many benches around the lake, easy parking and gorgeous views.
This is a great place to see birds. When we attended, there were many people walking their dogs.nnIt is a great place for a walk.
A delightful lake, easy to walk around in under 45 minutes with a tarmaced path surrounded by fairly unspoiled undergrowth and popular with fishermen. The island in the middle hosts a number of birds, ducks, swans & herons.nnIdeal for disabled people, with numerous benches facing the lake allow one to stop and enjoy the views. .nnFree parking nearby, as well as a children's playground, indoor Health Centre with pool, and a wide area of grass used by cricketers etc.
