I’ve had mixed experiences with this GP practice, but I wanted to highlight the exceptional care I received from Nurse Ana Gomes. Unlike some rushed or dismissive appointments I’ve had in the past, she was incredibly kind, attentive, and made me feel truly heard. She took the time to engage with me, looked away from her screen while talking, and showed real empathy—something that makes a huge difference, especially when you’re struggling with your health. The appointment felt more like a private consultation rather than a standard NHS visit. Thank you, Ana, for your compassion and professionalism!
It’s 8:04 when my call was finished , I needed an emergency appointment as when my issue was mild they ignored it and now it has inflammation and swollen and they told me they don’t have appointments. I don’t see the point of lying. They open at 8am. And the call FINISHED at 8:04 . I really hate this place. It’s a mental battle to get help because the receptionist are who decide this. And they ONLY tell you they “don’t have appointments today” AFTER you share with them your issue. Ridiculous
i just had a telephone appointment with Dr Akther. i was extremely pleased and happy how she explained everything in details.. it was explained so well that i didn’t even need to ask many questions. and the way she talks is very reassuring. i did mention that to her also. i was very disappointed when she said she’s leaving. please please bring her back! it is quite difficult to find good Gp’s these days.
I called and was in the que for 41 minutes, that's not the issue, I completely understand that but as soon as I'm put through the person is talking to someone else at reception and im saying hello?? Then the call is ended, I waited for 41 minutes to book an appointment and the woman at reception hang up on me because she was talking to someone else, and I heard the conversation it wasn't about work it was about who someone was potentially gonna date, and I had the call ended on me, it's insane!!
I would like to personally thank Dr Aktar! Not only did she take up her valuable time to fully explain the different treatments/Medicines and options available to me but she also gave me the chance to explain my symptoms fully and allow me under her professional guidance to make my own decision based on my circumstances with no pressure, she was very observant and understanding that what i had been through and still dealing with physically and mentally may have had a huge impact on my mental health, Dr Aktar is honestly the first and only doctor to not only notice/inquire my mental state but also the first Dr to act on my mental health by taking into account the long term care and referring me to therapy instead of just dealing with the short term. I genuinely felt like i was actually being taken care of and felt like my health and wellbeing was taken very seriously in a very professional but comforting and caring manor instead of being rushed and forced into something i was not happy with, thank you very much! Your time and effort is well appreciated and i will be very happy to have you as my GP in the future if i have any further complications.
