Awesome trip. My first time abroad.nThanks to all the crew and staff who made this possible.nNext time I'll have to brush up on my french.nThanks for Brittany Ferries for organising hotel accommodation at Hotel Ibis.
Getting the cars on board took a long very busy I was told and then all sittings for the restaurant were full too. But all the rest was super. Nice cabin, bar areas, entertainment, self service restaurant and general professionalism were all good.
Our outward journey on the Pont Aven was very pleasant. Lots of entertainment, good sized shops, nice deck areas. Pool is q dated and small. It was v full of children. Coming home we were on the Arminique, a much smaller, less stable vessel, less onboard. Entertainment was still good fun though!
Love travelling to france from here, it's a smaller port so not as hectic as Dover.nMake sure you check out the little pasty hut before you get in the ferry. Delicious
We booked a pet friendly cabin for us and the two pooches and it was great. It enabled us to have our dogs with us for the overnight crossing. The room was spotlessly clean, bunks were comfy and it had ensuite toilet and shower. Take your dogs water bowl and dog blanket/bed for your pooch otherwise they sleep on cabin floor. Having a cabin for the journey was the best decision we made.
