Top spot for a young person serious about survival in this realm to learn the eternally useful skills of serious war-fighting.  I spent just under 3 years receiving and giving both Infantry and Royal Artillery training; more than anything learning to lead.  This proved useful pretty immediately: I put it to good use and got myself elected President of the Union Society of The University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.  But ...  Top recommended pursuit for any budding University student at any North East region feeder university looking to acquire 'once in a lifetime' experiences, friends and ... a sense of family the British Army/Armed Forces that stays with you for life!  And ... can also bring later professional opportunities to serve less directly 'in defence of the realm'.  Anyone interested in business or the professions; military training, if you didn't know, military leadership training, is highly valued by employers, and professionals running firms, etc.  JOIN!
