We have been donating to BHF Andover since 2003 in memory of my father-in-law and have always found the staff friendly when we brought in donations. However, that is not the case this year - on my last 3 experiences bringing in donations the staff have been unhelpful. They make you feel they are doing you a favour by accepting donations. Really poor attitude and customer service. What has happened?
Super happy, bright and welcoming place. Nice range of things to buy. Nice staff too. Editing to say: I've looked at other reviews and I think some people have gotten this shop confused with the old furniture one that shut down. This is the one with clothes, dvds, books etc. Not furniture.
Visited 11/2/23 quite unhappy. All charity shops surely to help those in need both in terms of raising money and for those who are on limited income. Imagine my surprise when they said they dont take cash. Many families cant use cards as they are on their limit of their overdraft. I had to leave my items at the desk and walk away with my tail between my legs. A thoroughly embarrassing experience. I ended up buying somewhere else. I wont be going back. Bad show Thankyou for your reply jess. Now please tell everyone how you intend to stop those less well off people who either dont have a card or on their overdraft limit how they will not be discriminated against
Very disappointed as arranged a collection of our old leather sofa which we appreciate is a free serviceI had to take time off work and ask 2 colleagues to take early lunch breaks to enable me to leave early and paid for a taxi to be home in time for the 1pm to 5pm time slot we had been given. Only to be sat in all afternoon for no collection.I called mid afternoon and was assured that the people collecting new we would only be home til 5.30!
It's shut down why is it on a site
The manager is very very unprofessional and rude actually its parasitic on the back of donations get paid and closing when she wishes no sign
Excellent attitude from staff/volunteers.
