Broke down on a French Motorway on my motorbike, and don't speak a dot of French. The gentleman that answered my call Kaiden/Cayden was so helpful and reassuring, and called back every half hour to make sure I was okay. When French police finally rescued me, Simon next answered my call and was as lovely as the gentleman before. I was then transferred to Optivan/European Assistance, but over the next few days a mixture of a language barrier and being new to the process lead to a lot of anxiety. Ross from Britannia rescue came to my rescue, explaining all that had happened/was happening, and spoke to Optivan for me for the information. We had a small chat after as I felt all my stress and anxiety melt away. These gentlemen are absolute credits to the company, and thanks to to the service I received I will definitely be renewing next year!
Great service from Britannia Rescue this morning. My ignition key wouldn’t turn in the lock. Richard arrived within half an hour so helpful to be able to track his progress on the link from the text. He pushed and twisted harder than I had felt confident to do, and had the problem sorted quite quickly. Looks like I may need a new barrel soon. Very pleased I spend the money each year on this service.
Wow what service, made everything so easy. Spoke to 2 agents, they had so much patience, friendly and didn't sound like robots. I'm 76 and just had a massive heart op. James from Lee Hire the recovery company, again, nothing was too much trouble, friendly, patient. Kept me informed at all times. 2 hour wait was about 25 minutes. 5 star service from Britannia and Lee Hire Ltd. Thank you Linda Davies
Always been brilliant, even worked for them 30 years ago when they belonged to c.s.m.a. I can honestly say they have been the best company ever untill my recent call out ,! My car wouldn't start at home, call out was there quickly as per usual, then disaster. Had a young lad obviously not very qualified who couldn't find what the problem was he spent about 2 hour trying to resolve the problem he asked me if I had a car manual, so I got the manual out for him, then he was on the phone talking to someone on the phone for advise,? Eventually I got told I would need a garage to investigate, he never even tried to jump start the car, anyway off he goes no car working, ?? Next day my daughter came tried to jump start it and it still wouldn't start ! then I thought get manual out read it,! and it said could be fuel pump, so I looked at fuse box took the fuse out and replaced it with another one nothing to loose and , wow runs perfect again, why didn't mechanic try that, Im a 74 year old women, who solved a silly easy problem that mechanic couldn't,! Thank god I wasn't broken down away from home, Obviously L.V are not using reputable companies anymore, very very disappointed Date of experience: 07 August 2024
Contacted rescue this morning after problems with car. The operator was brilliant, so helpful. Our car was taken to our usual garage as couldn't be fixed at roadside. Excellent service.
I got my first flat tyre during severe weather. Experience wasn’t great as I was on the phone on hold for ages whilst waiting to be transferred to numerous companies and departments for them to say they couldn’t help me. The first time I got through to Britannia, they said they weren’t partnered with my insurance Allianz and transferred me to RAC. In the end, I got in contact with Britannia again and spoke with the lovely Priya who arranged for someone to promptly come out and change the tyre. I wish I connected to her sooner! She was very kind, patient and helpful in a distressing situation and a great asset to the team. Restored my faith in the company and gave me confidence on what to do should something like this happen again.
Terrible service. Guy turns up and says I have no tools and only here to recover it. He said looks like it’s the belt. It was a simple job and a decent roadside firm would have fixed it! Not blaming the recovery driver but Britannia should be sending out people equipped with tools!!! Cancelling the membership which I have been renewing each year!
Used these again on Friday, key issue, key not found when the key in the ignition, got a call from the mechanic he quickly decided being a weekend we needed recovery. This was organised for the next day as we agreed. Burrows Burton on Trent recovery turned up on time and returned us home. Simon the driver was professional and a great driver. All good best recovery insurance I’ve ever had.
What more can I say . Press 1 for this , Press 2 for that . No mention of a flat tyre blocking road with heavy traffic . Luckily a lovely cab driver came to the rescue and got me home Will cancel my agreement for useless service. £60 a year for nothing .
Just had to call Britannia rescue due to a flat battery on my Lexus. Absolutely first class service from both Britannia and Lewis at Macadams recovery in Keighley. Waited no more than 30 mins for assistance. Most grateful. Kind regards, Ken & Anne Shipley.
