Great pub, very friendly and a really good selection of beers. Only gave it four stars it could do with a lick of lighter paint to give it brightness and warmth only my opinion!!! Looking forward to our next visit
First time in Aberdyfi and we found this place by way of a chance meeting of a lovely couple in a pub in Tywyn. They rang Gary and we reserved the room and the four of drove to the Britannia to have a drink and check in. Introduced to Gary had drinks , Gary recommended the Coast deli & dining for dinner so we all moved next door for a lovely dinner and back to the Britannia for more drinks with good company and a warm Atmosphere. We will be back Thanks for your Hospitality Gary Rooms: Room 1 was descent very comfy with a big shower and cracking sea view Safety: Parked right outside no bother Walkability: Dog friendly and Easy access on the prom to walk our dogs and park our camper no bother Food & drinks: Restaurant was closed on a Tuesday so Gary recommended his mates place Warm friendly atmosphere drank until we had enough
We had a lovely meal at the Brit last night the first time we have eaten there. I had a fabulous filet steak cooked to perfection, a good selection of wines and friendly service. We will definitely return.Service: 5/5

Now being run by new owner who was very pleasant and charming. We had lunch there. Menu was quite small but nice variety, and they will be expanding it as I understand. Love to sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and watch the boats and people.Service: 5/5
Our group of 4 girlfriends visited during a much needed break away. The decor was gorgeous, an amazing snug, which we did not use as it was unusually sunny! Therefore sat on the balcony overlooking the sea. It was well run, welcoming, clean and relaxing. We had Sunday lunch the next day owing to the positive experience. So refreshing to be somewhere where the owners can set their own regulations regarding admission criteria of adults only in the bar. Thank you
I'm seeing a few negative posts on here. My experience of the Brit is great. We've been coming here as a family with two young kids for meals for the past 6 or 7 years over the summer. The quality remains very good. I want to say thanks to the landlady for accommodating two of my friends and I for a dinner in their restaurant in March 2022 at short notice, after we completed an epic charity bike ride from Newport to Aberdyfi over 2 days. The staff were really helpful and the steaks were amazing. We'll be going back for sure.
Came in for a pint with wife and 2 kids 18 and 15 was told straight away go into the snug, kids not allowed. OK understand that but then went downhill. Given plastic glasses to go outside, got the feeling not wanted in there as the woman was sat in the bar and now had work to do. Treated as something on her shoe. Can see why it's empty. Yet the other 2 bars in town are busy. Don't worry won't be back in a long time. Even the kids left their coke as so watery. Shame could be a real nice place.
Don't know what happened. I thought I left a 5 star review. Absolutely no complaints. Food & drinks: Very hospitable staff. Good food.
