I went for the night glow. A personal warning, DON'T USE A BUS! it's a standstill. You'll be overtaken by people walking. Such a great atmosphere and it was worth everything to experience it. Will be going again. We used the Sky Lounge and it was perfect. No complaints at all. A thank you to all the wonderful staff and people who came too as everyone was great and friendly.
Great day out for the family. Careful in the sun. The fair ground is good for kids up to about 12 then they are probably a little big but could still have fun. The stalls are all really friendly and there is free water tap refills for your reuse-able bottles.
Based on the news previous 2 days on the long queue build up for entering the car park, I walked there on foot on Saturday morning and arrived by 4:45am can saw the complete morning session. On very hot days choosing to see the morning session gives you better chance of seeing balloons taking off. Of course it's also subject to others factors like cloud and wind.
Loved it! Amazing show, the first launch was 6 am in the morning but it worse to wake up early to see it! The field is huge with lots of street food around. Good access to be able to see balloons very close.
Great show. This was my first time when I saw the hot air balloon in real life. It's impressive. Well organized but expensive parkings around the area. But it's possible to park a car 20 minutes away from it and just walk.
The bristol balloon festival is always great It is the fist day the event so good and enjoyable lots of different food stalls and burger vans available you can spend lots of time in the funfair different rides ferris wheel or bumper cars too much traffic but traffic management getting on to the site and helping people
Bristol International Ballon Festival with night Light Up Ballons musical show is one of its kind in UK expirience. Been coming here for over 10 years since it wasn't yet that crowded. Well prepared professional music expirience loving how they used our favouritte musicals Greatest Showman soundtrack. Avoid lottery games with huge plush mascotes just few people among whole crowd got to be seen with one. Another con is crowds that come with ques for food or drink however free water sink connected to citywater pipe on site.
Don't go. No balloon! Waste of time! The weather was perfect. But they don't let balloons to fly! No wind. No rain. Bright and sunny. The organizer literally cancelled all balloons without any notice until last minute. They just don't want to move the balloon in hot days. Lazy is not an excuse. Can't be forgiven. Worst event ever. Please avoid. I didn't see even one balloon there.
Despite the heavy traffic coas and seemingly mindless diversions in place. The crowd was enjoying the drinks and heat waiting for the display. Saturday saw lots of ballonlons close to the ground inflated at dusk and eventually lit up by the burners in time to an eclectic range of sound bites and music.
Do not waste your time.. this event is a total joke. 30.70 to park. Prices of the vendors are extremely expensive more then Glastonbury festival even! Then we find out no balloons again! No information about them not flying until its to late and you have wasted your money. Nothing inside is free. There arnt enough loos or water stations. Not enough bins so rubbish everywhere. I go alot of festivals.. this was awful to say the least.
