Really nice area of Birmingham it's well maintained and managed, friendly, has many nice restaurants with the national sea life centre and the icc in the vicinity. There looks like there's a nice walk along the canal with boats for hire. I would definitely go back and recommend visiting or staying at one of the many hotels in the area. There was what sounded like an amazing night out a few blocks from the estate which was audible from the hotel we were in. I enjoyed my short stay at Birmingham and would also recommend a visit to the city.

A nice place to go for a meal or a drink. The National Sea life centre is a great place to take the kids, a little pricey but you can sometimes get 2for1 vouchers on chocolate bars or parking tickets. The parking is expensive, but very close, so you may want to get the train in and walk. It has a nice grassy area with a Costa Coffee in and fountains, so lovely in the summer. On the edge of the canal and next to Broad Street, so a good place to start a night out.

Great range of eateries, busy and bustling. Superb for waterside eating and drinking especially real ales.

One of the nicest parts of Birmingham centre. Good selection of bars and eateries, including canalside. Pleasant walks along the canal towpath with longboat cruises available from the rear of the ICC.

One of the best parts of Birmingham city centre. Personally prefer coming here than Bullring. It is a great place both day and night. Lots of places to eat and drink and great atmosphere is a plus.
