Absolutely lovely restaurant. Decor is so modern yet homely. Staff are friendly. Nice menu variety. Gluten free options for breakfast and sandwiches. Good value for money. Dogs are welcome. Outside seating area on the canal so your able to watch the boats coming by. Near the park so perfect for before or after your walk for a cuppa.
We walked here along the canal and over the Aqueduct from Linlithgow for a very pleasant light lunch before returning via the Avon path. The cafe is light and airy, the staff were friendly. The menu is varied but not extensive. The prices are reasonable and the place was very clean. Our soup and shared sandwich were delicious. The Ginger beer was very refreshing as the day had warmed up considerably.
Bridge 49 is a nice cafe if you’re looking for a decent quality breakfast when about and about with the family. Beautiful location by the canal and you can even pre book one of their outside dining pods for later in the day! Full breakfast is very well cooked and decent for the price. Proper poached eggs that are fresh, black pudding and haggis that isn’t greasy, and overall really tasty and hot when served. Only giving 4 stars because I was given the vegetarian sausages by mistake, but the waitress wasn’t convinced and initially insisted they were normal. Had to speak to the front of house and chef before getting the real ones and acknowledged their mistake. If you order water, would advice you ask for a large glass as the ones served are very small but the coffee is very nice all round and they normally serve fresh cakes and treats at the counter to take away.
Had a lovely lunch today. Sat outside of in the sun overlooking the canal doggy friendly outside and had delicious paninis followed by coffee and cake. Great, friendly service and good value for money in a lovely setting!
Stopped in for lunch on a cold January weekend. Dogs not allowed inside, fair enough so we decided on a quick bite outside while the baby was asleep. Nearly an hour later and 4 sandwich’s we’re still yet to appear despite chasing them 4 times. Shame because it looked like a great spot but it was just too cold to not be allowed inside especially once the baby was awake. At least the COPed the 1 lot of drinks that we managed to get after a 15 min wait.
Had a nice time here. Next to the canal so you can walk here if you like long walks. Free parking and decent staff. Soup was good and not over salted. Sandwich was with decent quality bread and filling was good. Nice coffee and nice place, worth a visit. Pretty relaxed and they have seating outside for summer. Not too expensive and has free WiFi as well.
Nice little café. Staff are excellent, very kind, welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend.
Food was soo tasty, busy place, area outside overlooking the water, plenty of car spaces. I had the haggis and steak burger and my fiance had the Cajun chicken burger both with really tasty chips and dips. Couldn't fault it.
Went for a family lunch to celebrate a birthday. I had a tasty panini and coffee. All food looked and tasted good. Service was prompt. Will visit again.
Great quality and service. Lovely place for lunch or dinner, would highly recommendFood: 5/5
