The range of products is very good. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
Great staff, brilliant shop. Always happy to help, give advice. Friendly and professional. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my decorating needs. Wonderful choice of wallpapers, paint etc. I highly recommend them and have been using this shop, formally Williamsons, for over 25 years.
We bought three tubs of exterior house paint. We weren’t sure if we’d need two or three. We asked the guy serving us if we could return one and get a refund if not needed. He merrily said yes no problem. In the end we needed only two. We phoned before and were assured we could return it. We got to the store who then phoned HQ. We were told the pair was part of a “kit” and we’d have to pay £5 to return it. At no point were we told this was part of a kit on purchase. We phoned customer service who were useless! They told us we should have read the terms and conditions online at the time of purchase. Seriously? The staff there don’t know what they are doing and customer service is just as bad. Go elsewhere for your paint. The service can’t be worse than at this place. Oh ye, Sunderland branch by the way. Avoid!
Visited a short while back and the young assistant was very good in helping with samples and colours re:wallpapersnUnfortunately the assistant on the other end of the phone recently, wasnt as motivated. On trying to speak with someone for quite a while, the respondent wasnt in the slightest interested. At least to take a number and have someone ring me back would have been professional. So, the internet wins and so will benefit my purchase. They wonder why shops are going bust!!!!!
Good idea for you Williamson's: tell people when items are special order and that any surplus cannot be returned. Do not lie and say you told me when you didn't. Tut tut.nnYou have lost somewhere in the range of £1000.00 worth of business from me annually.
