I gave you one star because I can't give you less than that. I went with my family for the bottomless chicken wings dayfirst time in this restaurant. It was the worst decision. First of all, when we went to order, we couldn't order nothing else than a portion of chip as a side because they didn't have any of the sides from their menu. If we make a booking and you are running out of things basically everything from the menu at least let us know! Then, when we received the chicken wings most of then were row, oily and unflavoured! The chicken was hidden between 100 of layers of flour. We were expecting different types of sauces to eat with the wings but we only received one hot unflavoured sauce tesco spicy sauce mixed with water and some kind of cheese sauce unflavoured too. Since we ask for the bottomless chicken wings we had to wait for the second round of wings in which we put our hopes hoping that they will be better than the first chicken wings but they were worse! I have to clarify the second round weren't wings at all. It was 5 pieces of deep fried cauliflower and 3 sticks of fake meat. Waste of money and time £40 for 3 people, practically leaving everything without eating.
Had a really delicious Patriot burger here just before going to the Brixton Academy. Perfectly cooked bacon inside and wonderful barbecue sauce. The chips were crisp and tasty too and we enjoyed the ale. A very satisfying experience all round!
Nice atmosphere and staff, but the prices are steep considering there are lots of indie places around with nicer food. I ordered the vegan banana split for £7.45 and felt it wasn’t really as described, the ‘ice cream’ was definitely sorbet and the caramel sauce and whipped topping tasted pretty cheap. Definitely nothing special. The vegan seitan wings were also disappointing, lacking any flavour of their own until dipped in hot sauce.
Thoroughly enjoyed the bar. It has a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and several choices of beers, ales and wine.Food: 5/5
Not the best experience today at the bar in Brixton. Great range of drinks, as expected. However, the food was disappointing. The fried chicken in the Cluck Norris burger was overcooked, burnt in places, and there was hardly any sauce or onion/coriander. There was no avocado in the burger either. When I pointed this out, the staff were quick to bring some, however it was mostly brown and tasted of lemon juice. My girlfriend ordered the better burger, she had the pork and brie and loved it.
Got the unlimited wings. Very salty and vinegary. I love buffalo wings but these were almost inedible. Not spicy, just overly tangy. You also have to reorder at the bar. The chips were also not hot and not crispy.Service was good thoughFood: 2/5
Very disappointing wing Wednesday. All you can eat wings except after the first round of 8 wings, we were told there was no more wings but they had chicken thighs. We were then presented with breaded chicken, sauce on the side, that if I had gone to McDonald's it would've probably been the same. Sure, it was unlimited in theory, but it wasn't wings which is what we went for. Also 2 of the desserts we wanted they couldn't make. Overall poor vibes and poor "all you can eat" wings Wednesday.
One of the best BrewDog bars I ever went to. Great craft beer and the wings OMG most certainly the best buffalo wings I have ever tried in London. 10/10 will come back!
First time of trying the Beyond Meat Burger which was AMAZING!!! So tasty and the red Beetroot Brioche Bun was very cool and tasted divine. All the ingredients worked so well together and I would certainly order again. Ordered the loaded fries which were huge, certainly enough for 2 people. If you love spice, then these are a go to. A little too much hot sauce for my liking, but I am a lightweight haha. Very filling and bags of flavour. Had a Punk IPA - Love this beer, the fruit and ale work really well. Smooth tasting with no bitterness. COVID Precautions - There was a hand sanitiser station at the entrance, perspex separating tables, table service, disposable menus. Place was spotlessly clean and staff were really friendly and helpful. This is a little hidden gem just off the busy high street, well worth a visit.
Very nice place in a good location. I loved the design inside and the choice of beers. When I had doubts on which drink to choose next, staff was attentive and helpful. I was offered a sample just to make sure I want to go for the one I was thinking of and thanks to that I knew it wouldn’t be a good choice and went for a much tastier choice in my opinion. Didn’t have any food as this wasn’t a plan but whatever was coming out the kitchen smelled amazing, so definitely I will plan eating there too on my next visit.
