I just completed the Advanced Brewing Skills course and I must say thoroughly enjoyed it. Firstly it was well organised and I had all the info that I needed beforehand. Even though the course was thorough and covered many areas, it was nicely structured and I didn't feel either tired or overwhelmed. Both of the of the tutors were very knowledgeable and always happy to answer any questions. Hands down 5 out of 5.

The Craft Beer Brewing was a superb course. Tom Newman, the tutor, was outstanding. He had an incredibly wide knowledge of brewing, but made everything very easy to understand and totally accessible for all levels of experience. The venue is clean and well appointed and hosts, Julie and Chris, were very welcoming. The lunch provided was delicious, served by a team of ladies who constantly replenished drinking water, coffee, tea, biscuits and cakes throughout the day. All in all, I would highly recommend this course for anyone who has just started home brewing, or indeed anyone who is even thinking about it. A very informative, worthwhile and enjoyable day!

Good Mix of people both from a tutor and participant point of view. I found it a very enlightening introduction to the world of professional brewing.

Recently attended a Craft Beer Home Brewing course at the Brew School. Excellent day, lead by a brewer from nearby Thornebridge brewery. Enhancing class with hands on elements and tasting session. I would definitely recommend the school to anyone interested in Home brewing or setting up a commercial enterprise.

Attended the 4 day 'starting a microbrewery' course and couldn't be happier with it! Very well organised and Chris and Julie couldn't have been more accommodating. I learnt something from every speaker, from one man bands to v successful head brewers. The course covered a tremendous amount and left enough time for all our questions to be answered. There were also talks from consultants and finance professionals all of which had lots of experience. All in all a great mix of practical and business advice. I imagine I'll be back in Bakewell next year for their more advanced brewing courses.
