1940's weekend event was absolutely brilliant, small venue but kept us there for 4.5 hours, people were really lovely and very passionate and informative about what they do, heads up to the lovely lady demonstarting cooking from the era.She was brilliant. Exhibition was really good, so much to read, for any WW2 enthusiast this is a must. Vintage tearoom was perfect and I look forward to returning to drink from a China cup and saucer!
Visited while on holiday at romney sands to celebrate my farther in laws 80th birthday took him here and he had a fasntix day looking at all the engines that had been found etc. The planes and the history in such a small building absolute fantastic and well worth a visit when your in the area. Definite needs to create flyers for the local area so while on holiday you know about this place we found it by accident while driving around looking for stuff too do. One place I would visit again. Staff were very helpful and very friendly. Even took the time to explain a few bits to us. Tha k you

An amazing collection of World War One & Two artefacts. Intelligently laid out and run by enthusiastic volunteers. The building housed Land Girls during the Second World War; it's also close to the site of an advanced landing field opened in 1943. Revisited with my grandson in July 2018 he was warmly greeted by the gentleman in the reception who took the time to explain the history of the centre, the layout and the best route around the museum. My grandson thoroughly enjoyed his visit as he is studying World War 2 as part of his history lessons at school, this visit brought to life the military and civilian aspects of war. Great visit.
Absolutely brilliant air museum, so much to see, you cannot comprehend what its like from the outside, it's full of interesting artifacts, from planes, cars, motorcycles, engines, military outfits, letters, pictures, medals the list goes on & on, for anyone who has an interest in militaria, WW1, WW2 & the local history of this area, do visit, you won't regret it, a lovely place run by friendly volunteers who are helpful & informative - cafe completely charming, we loved it !!!
What a fantastic little museum. 1 full Vampire airframe and a couple of cockpit sections but loads of aeronautical items both allied and axis found locally or loaned to the museum as well as memorabilia from locals highlighting their families military histories.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Great little local museum, full of history, very friendly staff and a great day out
Brilliant experience. Very welcoming staff, much bigger than it appears from the road and packed with interesting exhibits.
Excellent museum and couldn't believe how much they had to see in such a small space, dog friendly too !
