"Guru is an authentic Indian restaurant based at Waterman’s Arts Centre in Brentford. It is situated in a serene waterside location. The interiors aren’t the best but the restaurant tries to provide quality Indian cuisine in reasonable price. Indian cooking is considered one of the most diverse cuisines in the world. With the traditional use of varied spices and ingredients, Indian food is not always instantly recognizable as Indian because of of the number of influences that have made an impact on the way Indians cook. This restaurant has the influence of central Indian, Goan, Gujarati and Portuguese cultures."

This is easily the best Indian in London and I have tried many. I have been ordering from here for the last year and it always turns up hot, fresh and delicious. Only ever had outstanding food from them. Would highly recommend. Keep up the great work guys ! Mark S - TW8 0es
Best curry house in the area, we stayed in a local hotel and found this place by the Thames river. Absolutely the best curry, friendly service and atmosphere, well recommended
Three of us Thurs evening had the most fabulous meal. The staff friendly, atmosphere homely, the food devine. If we lived nearer it would definitely become our local . Highly recommended.
Great service! Delicious Goan fish curry, fluffy Naan & tasty aloo gobi- all overlooking the river. Good value & you can also go to the cinema at Watermans.
I came across this restaurant by pure chance as I was staying at the Premier Inn. The Guru is probably only a few minutes walk from there if you know were to look. After consulting google maps I found It tucked away in the bottom of the small community center/cinema/car park and it was not really visible for bypassers and Business tourists like me. A visible sign outside I'm sure would help business. I came on a Tuesday non theatre night and had a nice chicken curry overlooking the river. The food was excellent, prices seemed low for London and service was vert friendly. I would recommend.
Must visit place for great Indian cuisine. Francis has done a wonderful job. The Goan Fish curry with rice is a must try. Kudos team Gurus tandoori, Thank you Francis and Anish for the lovely time
Very bland food, tasted and texture makes me think it is not cooked fresh but made from pre-bought tinned sauce. Very bland Chicken Karma, not at all creamy and chicken very dry. Pinion Baji was very strange, it reminded me of Cornflakes with onion. On the up side, the staff were very friendly and India or Chinese take away ware very much a personal preference so make you own mind up but I won’t be going back and can’t recommend it. Sorry guys.
Dry over cooked chicken The Xacuti from the specials menu was just bland curry with lentils, zero coconut taste at all Was really disappointed Rice and Keema naan was fine “Free” onion bhaji didn’t arrive
I was in a party 3 one loved the tandoori mix grill., but the other curry's tasted the same as each other & the garlic nan was I think from Iceland,
Spacious, clean restaurant on the bank of the Thames. We had a pre cinema meal here. Staff were friendly and efficient. Meal was delicious. Can't recommend the chicken shaslik highly enough. Best in the area!! Never tire of this restaurant.
