First time at the Brasserie Blanc and I was quote impressed. The building and decor was very French villa style so perfectly fitting in spring summer. Great for lunch or dinner and more than enough space and big tables for special occasions with family and friends. Service was good and waiters were polite and attentive. The food was of good quality but steak was not medium rare as it was not pink at all which was disappointing. However everyone else in my party enjoyed their meals so good result.
24/07/2018 - Today’s lunch was amazing at Brasserie Blanc in Bristol! I had the Cheese Soufflé from the main menu for starter, Steak Frites for main & the Vanilla Sponge Madeleines for dessert. My other half had the Escargots for starter snails, the Spiced Duck Leg Confit for main and the Zesty Lemon Tart for dessert all from the main menu. We also had Bread with Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar & a nice Merlot Wine. The weather was lovely so we sat outside. The food was of great quality and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would go back!
Reopened with a snazzy refurbishment, good quality food, service can be rather relaxed. Brasserie Blanc has been recharged and it's historic venue in central Bristol is impressive. The food lives up to its billing, wide range of classics with a few exceptional items, matched with a broad wine list to suit most tastes and budgets. The seating can be a bit mixed in the open plan venue, but a few nooks exist to create a more personal setting. Service was polite but not warm, staff seemed more interested in polishing glasses or stocking dumb waiters, with occasional trips to the kitchen to see what was ready to serve. When it was served, food was tasty, beautifully presented and well balanced in flavours. All meals were just right. It's location is going to make it popular, but it's standard of food will mean people return.
My husband had booked a surprise afternoon tea at Brasserie Blanc. Even though we went on a very rainy and cold day, all of treats cheered us up completely. From sandwiches to sweet treats, everything was delicious. And tose warm scones!! Mmm... Service was great and not intrusive. Atmosphere and decor is lovely. I would highly recommend!
Tonight was the first time I have ever eaten here... it would never usually be the sort of place I would go, I'm so glad I did though as the restaurant itself isn't hectic, the vibe is chilled & the staff were lovely & to top it off everything about the food was perfect Even had the pleasure of having two courses for free from the set menu but I ended up paying the extra £3.50 for a dessert which was a steal because it was really yummy The food didn't make me feel bloated either despite having 3 courses! Would definitely recommend
One word excellent - I have been to this restaurant 3 times and each time I have had exemplary service and food standards- our French waiter was friendly very knowledgeable about the menus and anticipated our needs - we chose both from the lunch menu and the standard - with the lunch menu you get starter and main for £11:99 this is excellent value for money the plate sizes are large and you won't go home hungry - the drink menu is good as you would expect an excellent selection of wines and beers I can recommend the cider - there is outside seating and a ground level disabled toilet - all the toilets are clean and well kept - This is a perfect restaurant for a snack and a drink while shopping or a full on luxury slap up full on meal with champagne - fantastic value and service every time 10/10 well recommend
Amazing service from the staff and an awesome meal. Better than the competition next door...!
Incredible dinner, everything really delicious, well presented, excellent service.
I adored the food here! The servings are relatively small, so don't expect large main dishes. What you do get though are tasty, well-presented entrees with a wide selection for most appetites. I tried escargot for the first time here and would definitely recommend! My old fashioned was very well made as well. The staff were lovely and I definitely plan to return.
Had meal with friends. Very trendy inside decor very nice. Drinks bit pricey but had good offer on and the food was good. Only issue was the waiter who was pleasant enough...but he got several things wrong in our orders and wine choice and even charged us for wrong table at first! All got corrected but a bit let down as all looks so impressive. So just ensure your orders are correct and check your bill before paying!!
